I am carbon-based, bipedal, and highly evolved.
My Self-Summary
"inverarity1024 (aka silenttristero) is a warm blooded bipedal
mammal native to the upper Midwest (Chicago), but in the past two
years has been spotted in the San Francisco bay area. Its habits
include staring into
microscopes, playing with
lasers, riding
motorcycles, and
hanggliding.
The silenttristero is friendly, outgoing, and very laid back, but
can be occasionally sarcastic and curmudgeonly, and should be
approached with caution. Do not taunt silenttristero." --The
Audubon Field Guide to North American Jewish Males
A few more items of note about me: I love good
food, and love
cooking, but hate cleaning up after
myself. I make a lot of jokes, some appropriate, some not so much.
It's never my goal to offend anybody, but I occasionally do. I love
words, writing, talking, reading, and singing (especially singing).
Physical attraction and
sex are very important to me, and with
respect to physical intimacy I'm very generous, attentive,
creative, open minded, and
kinky. My career is very important to me,
it takes up a lot of physical and emotional energy. I have a
doctoral degree in
physics, and am a postdoctoral
researcher at Stanford. I am a HUGE nerd, in the best possible way.
I'm inquisitve, goal-oriented, and I love to tinker and learn. But
I do love fiction and film as well. I am a strange animal, but I'm
worth getting to know. I will enrich your life if you let me, and
hope you will do the same. And if you actually read all the way to
the bottom of this thing, tell me "Colonel Custer sent me."
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a postdoctoral researcher in biophysics at Stanford. I'm
desperately trying to eke out enough data to publish something.
It's an uphill struggle which consumes a lot of my intellectual and
emotional energy, so I do like to cut loose when I get a chance. I
took up hanggliding a few years ago, and in the summers I try to
spend as much time as I can on the weekends out flying. I can
always use a friend who wants to help out, since it helps to have
someone drive my car back from the launch site to the landing site!
I’m really good at
Single molecule
biophysics, making you laugh so hard that milk comes out your
nose, making awesome sandwiches, and
oral sex.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a basso profondo voice that projects a lot (one of the
dividends of studying singing for many years), and I am often
caught not using my "indoor voice," so people hear me from across
the room.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm terrible with naming favorites, and I think this question has
almost no bearing on who I'd want to date, but a few things I enjoy
from these categories include: The Blues Brothers, Warren Zevon, A
Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, carciofi alla guidia,
bananas, They Might Be Giants, Kavalier and Clay, Mozart
(especially at the opera), Bubba Hotep, Everything and More: A
Brief History of Infinity, and almost anything sweet. I love to
cook, bake, and grill, and I have a huge sweet tooth. I make a mean
sandwich (see above.)
The six things I could never do without
I'm fairly resilient, and can make do with very little, but six
things that are highly important (in no particular order):
- My leatherman multi tool (almost always on my person)
- My iPod touch (the only thing that prevents me from losing my
mind at the gym is that I netflix movies, rip them to my iPod, and
watch them on the stairmaster)
- My sense of humor
- A healthy sex life with a caring, open minded, and passionate
partner
- My laptop, Uraniborg
- My platinum nipple clamps
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thermodynamics. Sex. Ethics. Optical trapping. Boobs. The failure
of modern society to provide for all its citizens, and what can be
done about it. Politics. Sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
Plotting the destruction of western civilization,
muahahahaha.
Recently, going to bed early so I can get up early to fly on
Saturday, when the air is nice and glassy and you can glide
foreeeeeeeeeeeever.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm not that enamored with the idea of sexual monogamy, but I'm not
really interested in polyamory either. I think there's a lot of
middle ground between the two, but I do want a long-term life
partner that I can always come home to, and I'm open to discussing
with a potential life partner what kinds of situations would make
us both happy.
You should message me if
You are sexy, sassy, witty, curvy, kinky, open minded, like strange
jokes, are smart, motivated, erudite, busty, smell nice, and can
give me a run for my money at Scrabble. Those with some subset of
the above qualities should feel free to get in touch as well.
If you're going to message me, you should probably have at least
gone to college, or else have a really awesome story as to why you
didn't (like you're a comic book artist, or you were in the Navy
fixing nuclear aircraft carriers (and yes, those are both real
reasons from real people that passed the awesome test.))
Also, always looking for somebody who wants to get up early on a
weekend, drive my car up a big hill in San Jose, watch me jump off,
and then drive my car back down. If that's you, get in touch.
