I did have some stuff in here about how I love winter because of
the
snow, but then
realised when I logged into OkCupid in the middle of the summer it
was drastically out of date. Hence it's getting a rewrite.
When the weather is cold, I spend many waking moments thinking
about snow trips, planning snow trips, checking snow reports and
webcams to work out the best time to go on a snow trip, etc, etc. I
don't ski but
snowboard. Never tried skiing but I
will one day - I still have far too much fun on a snowboard to stop
just now. I'm hopefully going to escape to
New Zealand for a few weeks later
this year, the Victorian snow has been at best shit the last few
years.
Whilst our snow is ordinary, our
music in Melbourne is awesome. I'm always
checking out live music at places like
Yah Yahs,
The Tote, or
Cherry. Which means I'm mostly into
rock music,
but also like some
punk,
alternative,
indie and
alt country (Alt Country is awesome
- listen to The Wagon's if you don't believe me). I also love the
more alternative music festivals like
Golden Plains,
Meredith,
Boogie and
CherryRock.
Other than
snowboarding and
rock music, I'm pretty sporty,
which is either gym,
running and lots of
basketball. Very soon I'm going
to give
kitesurfing a bash too, whilst I
still live in St Kilda. Can't wait for that! It's also been far too
long since I've been underwater - anyone want to come
scuba diving?
My height - being 194cm is pretty obvious.
How the OkCupid people came up with six items for the 'The six
things I could never do without' question. I mean, six is a pretty
random number. Why not ten, or five, or three - nice 'round' (so
too speak) numbers?
Case in point - if my house was on fire, it's not like I would go
'oh - I better grab six things before they burn to pieces.' I would
probably be content with three things. Maybe I'll figure out what
those three physical things are, put them in my list of six, and
fill out the rest with metaphysical things (i.e. world peace,
etc)...
You're heading to Soundwave, Golden Plains or Boogie.
Alternatively, if you wish to argue the Alt Country point - bring
it on!
You should definitely send me a message if your destroyed at the
news to close
The
Tote. What a Melbourne music icon, shut down by stupid laws
introduced to stop the binge drinking f-cktards who go to CBD
nightclubs.
