My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So here's my question....if no one likes to write these things, then why have them? It's one of life's great mysteries. Akin to: Why is the water always colder in the bathroom than in the kitchen.

By day, I work in public relations. By night, well, it depends. Concert/movie/theatre/improv/bar-going are all frequent nighttime activities. As is nesting at home with a book or getting sucked into a Netflix black hole.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to be open to new experiences and being as good as I can be.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, which is hard because now there are expectations that I'll make you laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My teeth or skin tone. Seriously. Thank you to Crest Vivid White for the teeth and my pale Irish mother for the complexion.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Bit of a pop culture junkie, really.

books-perks of being a wallflower
movies-i could try to be cool and tell you my favorite movie is "Breathless" because of the way Godard really brought French New Wave cinema to the world's stage....or, I could be real and tell you that it's Meet Me In St. Louis.
food-anything that doesn't include steamed vegetables (Note: cold vegetables are fine and encouraged...just not steamed.)
music-dawes, feist, wilco, rufus wainwright, cut copy, the xx, new pornographers, passion pit, band of horses, fleet foxes, beach house, gaga, Sigur Ròs,
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) caffeine
2) friends
3) laughter
4) cooking
5) pop culture
6) family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to say next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on how my Friday went, but either 1) going out or 2) going home

The best Friday nights, I find, are spent at Shoe's in Lincoln Park singing karaoke.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The last time I cried was senior year in high school when I lost the lead in the musical.

I've had weddings, funerals, births and deaths in the meantime. No tears. Seriosuly. I'm emotional and well up occasionally but don't cry. It's a problem. I know.
