cliche? I know... but I moved here for work from Ireland and
Boston is growing on me. I would say that I'm a very honest &
loyal person, in fact sometimes I'm honest to a fault, my old boss
called me the "International Man of Transparency". I enjoy being
around smart and funny people and nothing beats a laugh with good company in small bar on a rainy day.
My ideal match would be someone who has a weird sense of humor and doesn't take themselves to seriously. I like a woman to care about other people, sensitivity in a woman is very attractive. I'm not really sure why or how I ended up on OK Cupid, I guess I've spent a lot of time traveling from country to country over the past ten years.
Someone who has a certain spark of life about them and who can keep me on my toes is always a plus. I would like to find someone that can introduce me to new ideas and concepts should it be on music, art, movies, politics or religion I'm interested in all of them and discussing new theories between us is my idea of a great day. I would hope that I am able to do that to her also.
I'm from Ireland, Belfast to be exact and I guess coming from such a small place has it's disadvantage in the big city, but I have small town manners and I like to treat a lady like a lady, just the way it should be. I would like I guess someone special but if its just friendship that's cool too.
I like to have deep conversations but then the next minute I will be acting goofy I think its important to have a balance. I can enjoy a day at the MOMA looking at the Van Gogh collection or watching a stupid movie that has no plot. I have a close bunch of friends in every city I've lived in which is Sydney, Dublin, Leeds (UK), and New York. I think it's important to be a loyal friend especially as I've lived away a lot from home over the past ten years. I am close to my family and I have a huge family back in Ireland but at the end of the day you have to find your own way in the world so when I was 20 I began to travel and never really stopped.
I have over the past few months discovered Yoga and how great it is, which has surprised me but I have seemed to have replaced the gym for Yoga.
I have spent the past four years launching a mobile apps start-up and now I'm pursuing my MBA.
If you think we might hit it off I'd love to hear from you.
