OK, this is 2013. Time for an update. The photos are 09/2011-I 'm sure I don't look substantially different, so why bother with posing for the camera again. I am a genuine, intelligent, nice man with a good sense of humor. I am very down to earth, I highly value my family and close friends, but I definitely want to make new friends as well.

My parents are Irish, but I'm born and bred in Greater Los Angeles. I'm not that great a poet either, but poetry is more romantic than the stuff I usually write. 77-absolutely meaningless.
A lot of people think I'm from somewhere else other than Los Angeles.

* Trying to meet a nice woman.
* Writing something resembling a mystery.
* Watching my three sweet, beautiful, intelligent and quick witted nieces grow up
* Learning to teach English as a Second language
* Spending time with my wonderful family and friends
* Meeting new people and trying new activities
* Writing dialogue, character sketches for the book, now all I need is a plot
* Doing everything possible to make sure I get to Europe this year

* Communicating with people and setting them at ease.
* Coaching basketball and shooting(baskets)
* Kissing and....
* Teaching and guiding people
* Making people laugh
* Writing and public speaking
* Listening-people, music, lectures- and remembering what I heard in great detail.
* Working out on the elliptical then forgetting to stretch
* Understanding people with foreign accents and speaking in foreign accents

is my blue eyes. Then I chat with them, and I believe they will notice that I'm intelligent , kind and have a good sense of humor.

I read all kinds of stuff-last book I read was El Narco-about the cartels down south.

Movies- Pulp Fiction, Mr. Nice, The Winter's Bone, almost anything with Ed Norton or Kate Winslett

TV-Prime Suspect, Downton Abbey, Sons of Anarchy, Boardwalk Empire, MSNBC-Rev Al my favorite from that network

Music-OASIS, Crowded House. Led Zeppelin, REM and Emmy Lou Harris, Neil Young or any (talented) country artist.

Food - Thai Food, chicken, good salads, occasionally French restaurant cuisine.

Good friends/family, integrity, music, books, love and a car

watching a good movie or reading a book. Almost any other time is a better date night or get together unless you're with me enjoying the film .

is that I take my time revealing private things as I get to know a person better and develop trust. I don't believe in instant disclosure of deeply personal things being spilled out on a first date.
