My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived in Boston, Berlin, and London, and I've traveled from Munich to Mallorca, from Amsterdam to Aqaba, but I'm a California girl through and through. I moved to Atlanta a year ago to start a PhD program in Classical art history at Emory and am loving it here thus far.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I’m absolutely crazy about the ancient Mediterranean. From working on exhibitions about Pompeii and polychrome sculpture to researching millennia-old gems in museums across the country, I want to educate others about the treasures of Classical civilizations. I am really thrilled to be getting my doctorate and dream of becoming a curator after I'm done.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing tour guide in art museums.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...is that I'm very put-together. That, and my insanely curly hair!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Authors: Aeschylus, Virgil, Sappho, Euripides, Spanish lang. poems and short stories (Neruda, Lorca, Cortazar), Dostoevsky, anything by Murakami, and Damon Galgut's In A Strange Room.

Movie: Hable con ella.

Music: Gaga, the XX, and Hilary Hahn. Still obsessed with Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.

Food: Flourless chocolate cake and generally anything Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

My chef's knife
Perfume
A really good cappuccino
My black stilettos
Rome
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to cook next! I own well over twenty cookbooks and cooking is one of my biggest passions outside the classroom. Currently cooking my way through Yotam Ottolenghi's "Plenty More," a cookbook from one of my favorite spots in London.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Honestly? I don't have a real "Friday night routine." But I do prefer low-key nights, like staying in with a good book or having friends over to share a bottle of wine (preferably white!), over going out for a raucous time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I secretly want to be Martha Stewart. Seriously. From piping chocolate ganache on a cappuccino-fudge cheesecake to hand-knitting a sweater, I think I could give her a run for her money.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You don’t have to love Almodóvar films, be an Italophile, or have kickass culinary competence to write me. It would help if you loved the Giants, but I’d overlook allegiance to even the Dodgers (well, maybe) if you have a vibrant passion to which you bring brimming enthusiasm in what you do or how you live.

If you want to share with me what makes you tick and you are curious about the world, message me!

PLEASE don't send me one-liners asking me how my Monday is going, simply saying "hey," or introducing yourself by name-- I really want to get to know you instead of getting a terse message. And it shows me you actually care enough to read to the bottom.
