My self-summary
I think I fit the description for INFJ well. Here's an exerpt from the webs http://www.personalitypage.com/INFJ.html
I'm pretty proud of those characteristics.

I'm kind of a goofball when you get to know me. I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor.

I absolutely love doing outdoorsy stuff like hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, but I don't get to do it enough. Usually over the summers I work for ecologists. I love the science community. I think without being about to explore nature I was shrivel up and die, but don't ask me to name birds n shit. I'm not that good. Maybe someday.

I like to travel, but am also concerned about the backlashes involved with being a part of the global community. Globalism seems to be the new word for imperialism. I'm a little concerned what the implications of my upcoming Peace Corps service will be. I like to talk about politics.

Another passion of mine is music. I was for about three years in college and I've been in and out of different rock and jazz bands since middle school. Contact me if you want to jam! I'm down!

I am amiable, inquisitive, and funky
What I’m doing with my life
I just graduated from University of Kansas studying philosophy and more. Lawrence was good to me. I feel rich with the friends I made.

In August I will be sent to Senegal to serve as in the Agriculture/Forestry sector in the Peace Corps. I am absolutely thrilled. Take that into consideration when you write me.
I’m really good at
Making you laugh/one liners, finding work, lending an ear, expressing myself, cuddling, looking at both sides of issues. I also think I'm a pretty good cook. I like finding new recipes to try out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Korea, Chinese, Japanese, Indian food are all top notch, but I'm not very picky. I'll try anything twice.

I'm a DJ for KJHK in Lawrence and that's really opened my eyes to all types of music. Since I got the Peace Corps nomination, I've been listening to a lot of music from Africa: Amadou and Mariam, Soweto Gospel Choir, Ladysmith Black Mombaso, Baba Maal, Oumou Sangare, Dobet Gnarhore, and Angelique Kidjo to start. This isn't by any means all I listen to or all I know, but it's the newest installment for me.
That's by no means all of what I listen to. Look for me on last.fm if you are dedicated: username is ritabook

Lately I read a lot of nonfiction and fiction short stories. Last couple reads: Steven Pinker's "Stuff of Thought" which made me think about language and thought in a whole new way- highly recommended. Malcolm Gladwell's essays. I have read Blink, Outliers, and Tipping Point, so I just read his newest one "Stuff the Dog saw." "Evolution for Everyone" by Wilson. "Proust was a Neuroscientist" and the one I just started is Polan's "Omnivore's Dilemma"

Favorite TV shows:
30 Rock, Arrested Development, Reno 911, Parks and Recreation
The six things I could never do without
1. Hot tea
2. Radio. Gotta love NPR. NY Times, plays, and internet are all good, but they cost cashmoney.
3. Nature
4. Friends
5. Books
6. International cultures. Stagnation kills
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Places I want to travel, books I want to read, politics/current events. I love science- I used to be a biology major before realizing how much I couldn't do chemistry. I love thinking about cutting edge science and technology. What my life will be like in Africa.
On a typical Friday night I am
I like setting of two or three people at a time. Maybe I'm wandering around town, goofing with friends or maybe I'm at home watching a movie or reading and having a beer.
