My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If someone were to describe me, I think they would say kind and caring, ambitious - especially when it comes to sports, smart - in a sort of geeky kind of way, and talkative - but in a deep conversational kind of way (especially about new and exciting or the more controversial type topics). That's probably not all they'd say, but it's at least a good start. I love to race and enjoy being competitive in many different sports. I used to be involved in music (piano, band, choir, etc) growing up, and it was through related opportunities I was able to travel abroad, see the world and experience many unique cultures. Nowadays, I still love to travel, but do so with the pursuit of challenging myself with my races. To brag a little, by the end of this year I'll have raced in 22 different states and 5 foreign countries. Biggest races: American Birkebeiner 50km ski race, Boston marathon; coming up, Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, and New York City marathon.

I don't always have to travel for a race and sight see, but it is how I like to optimize my travels, especially since there is too much to do and too little time to see and experience it all. I like to think I'm an optimist and pragmatist, but perhaps I overreach from time to time with how many things I try to pursue.

That's a bit about me. What I'm looking for is harder to describe. It'd be great if you shared common interests, but that is often very difficult to find. You certainly don't have to be as competitive as I am, but I do wish that you enjoy being active in some kind of sport. I enjoy reading and keeping up with what is happening in the world, which is why I like it if I'm with someone who also has an open mind, try new cultural experiences and not settle for the norm. It'd be great to have someone special with me to try new restaurants, or dance and hang out while listening to live music. Physical attraction is important, but not everything. I think to be like best friends and form a strong emotional bond is what makes a great relationship last.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Moving. Race strategies and gossip (mainly triathlon, cycling, cx ski). My next destination for vacation. The growing dichotomy of U.S. politics and the sad loss of moderates.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Just about anything, but usually a quiet evening after working out. I'd easily be quick to go to a club for dancing if the mood and company is right! :)

See something you like and like what you see!?! I'm friendly and like to engage in conversation, so that's always a good place to start. Cheers!
