My self-summary
I am an open, honest, caring, outgoing, fun person. I have been described regularly as the stereotypical nice guy. Born and breed Wisconsonite, loving cheese and brats always, except for the beer, never did develop a taste for beer, I will have a Brandy Old Fashioned.

I have left the party years of my life behind me now. They were great, and I will never forget the First Friday Parties, but they are behind me. Not that I don't enjoy getting together with friends, I regularly get together with a varying group of friends to play board games. (If board games means Monopoly or Scrabble to you, I recommend you look in to Pandemic, Last Night on Earth or Killer Bunnies.)

I am looking for a long term relationship, in whatever form that would work with me and the other person. I am not looking for a house wife, I am pretty good at the cooking and keep my place tidy all on my own. I tend to like strong women (which means making first contact scores you points right off the bat with me) but that strength can take many many forms. Many times other people see it far more clearly in us then we see it in ourselves.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I work for a local printing company which I really enjoy. I know I will never be rich doing it, but there is a lot to be said for enjoying going to work everyday. I do work an unusual shift, I work late mornings in to the early evenings, but that works well with my propensity for staying up late at night.

I also fill my time with various hobbies; movie junkie (I watch a ridiculous amount of movies, Netflix is my friend), amateur photographer (the only wasted photo is the one not taken), video game player, cooking/baking (I make a mean purple pizza, you will have to ask to find out), now that summer is here; going to drive in movies (it is easy to forget how great of a way to watch a movie it is), among other things.
I’m really good at
My job, taking pictures of things that catch my interest, making molasses cookies, being there for people when they are struggling with their lives, and watching an entire season of a TV show like it is one long movie.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am guessing that it is that I wear all black all the time (mostly). It is just been my favorite color for a long time and what I feel comfortable in.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Neverending story (favorite book from my childhood), Ready Player One (amazing nerd 80s nostalgia), Ender's Game, Starship Troopers (nothing like the movie), The Lost Fleet, The Saga of the Seven Suns, The Dresden Files, The Wheel of Time Series, The Great Gatsby, The Iron Druid ChronicalsThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy The Hunger Games. Currently I am listening to the audio-book Spin.

Movie: Oh there are so many, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Dead Poets Society, 3 Iron, American Beauty, Shakespeare in Love, Silence of the Lambs, Princess Bride, Blade Runner, Amelie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Day the Earth Stood Still (the original), The Nightmare Before Xmas, The Aliens Series, Dogma, Time Bandits, A.I., Million Dollar Baby, Being John Malkovich, Fight Club, The New Batman Series, The Terminator Series, Platoon, The Abyss, The Book of Eli, Boys Don't Cry, Breakfast Club, But I am a Cheerleader, The Dark Crystal, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fifth Element, Serenity, Gattaca, Gods and Monsters, Heathers, The Hudsucker Proxy, It's a Wonderful Life, Kelly's Heroes, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Office Space, Say Anything, Seven, Scent of a Woman, The Shawshank Redemption, Stolen Summer, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Trainspotting... just to name a few.

Music: My taste in music is very eclectic, I don't really have favorite artists I have favorite songs. I like music the tells a story or has a emotional sentiment that I connect with. I music taste runs the gamut; techno, folk, alternative, rock, classic rock, pop, a little punk, even a little country. As for artists: Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, Spray, AC/DC, Depeche Mode, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Green Day, Lenoard Cohen, Tom Petty.

Food: Well to start off I will never be a vegetarian (but I am happy to support those who are), way more likely to turn pure carnivore. But my food tastes do not need to extend to the people around me, they can eat what they like. I like to cook a variety of food and always enjoy the challenge of cooking something new for someone even if it is not something I will likely like.
The six things I could never do without
• My Family (I grow closer to them every year)
• The internet (not that I can't be away for a vacation here and there)
• Movies (I just love them)
• Molasses Crinkle Cookies (as my Grandma used to make them)
• Good conversations
• Good friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ways that I can make my world and the world at large a better better place. How to get things done more efficiently. Improving the quality of life for myself and those around me. Finding that special someone to share my world with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home watching a movie, cleaning a bit, out watching a movie with friends (maybe even at the drive-in), working late to get that big important job ready for production over the weekend, trying a new restaurant, or really just what ever presents itself that seems like I would enjoy it. Getting off of work in the middle of the evening can make it hard to join in on things sometimes.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I am a bit discourage by the response rate I get on here, so the people I message are few and far between. If you intrigued by me, you should message me. It just seems to work out better for everyone that way.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
you want to. It is as simple as that. Through these words that I have laid down here, you felt some connection to me or an inkling that we might be kindred spirits. The reason isn't important, you read this far, you read the "You should message me if" category, but you already knew you wanted to. So go ahead and drop me a note or an IM if you see me on line, let's see what happens.

Or if you would like to go to a Badger Hockey game, I have the Saturday night series of tickets. While I have no shortage of people who want to go, I always enjoy bringing someone new with me.
