My self-summary
I'm a Virgo, a spunky skydiver, and fabulously single. Most days I'm just me and that's just as fine. Once upon a time, a long long time ago I attended Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. I enjoy long midnight walks on the beach, but mostly I enjoy anything requiring creativity (photography, writing, spoken word). I'm also convinced that my life will one day be turned into a B-movie, made specifically for Lifetime Television. So be nice to me or I just might have to cast your part with Corey Haim (which would hold true regardless of your gender). I'm an avid reader, who falls in love with words, and finds Mr. Right every night...in a book; he's the Mr. Darcy to my Elizabeth. And of Poetry, well, for years I've been reminded of the frailty and intrinsic beauty of life without immortality by Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology. To you all I say live the life that George Gray would not. I try everyday to live that life, without wasted seconds, without regrets to cloud the end that comes to all.

I am passionate, compassionate, and inspired

What I’m doing with my life
I'm just finished up my undergraduate degree after a long break. I went back to school and decided somewhere along the way that I had to brave. Being brave means pursuing my dreams of becoming a full time writer. So now I'm just accumulating great experiences. If you have any suggestions send them along.

I’m really good at
1. I'm an amazing friend. My dear friends have been in my life since 1998. We keep each other sane.
2. I'm an enthusiastic cook. I love pouring myself into a meal and watching the joy on someone's face as they chow down. I also like sitting back and watching them wash up the dishes. Hey, lets get real, A good home cooked meal is worth a few dishes.
3. Writing and reading.
4. I'm good at loving people. I've managed to build myself a wonderful family.
5. I'm really good at school. I could be that professional student most parents fear. It's not that I don't want to be a part of the workforce. It's just that I'm in in love with the act of learning. Knowledge is the biggest turn on. Well, that and a big...brain!

The first things people usually notice about me
My size. Lets be real here. I'm a plus sized woman. And if you look beyond the weight and like what you see then the next thing people notice is usually the wild curly hair. I've got wonderful brown eyes that hide behind some glasses. I've also got a huge chest. But my best feature is a wonderful smile that reaches the eyes and makes me squint. I look happy and high when I smile. Lucky is the person that makes me smile, because then I am relentless in reproducing the same effect in them.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is a very important question. But it's also soo very hard to narrow down the choices, but here goes...

Books: Anything by Chekhov, Gogol, Nora Roberts, Sharon Olds (check out her poem "Connoisseuse of Slugs"), Julia Alvarez, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jorge Luis Borges

Movies: My Netflix Queue...Sullivans Travels, Nelly and Mr.Arnaud, Chris Marker's Sans Soleil, How She Move.

My favorites are: anything with James Spader, anything Star Trek or Star Wars and now Avatar.

Music: Everything, even country.

Food: I'm Dominican so that's my favorite.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Right now 2/3 of my bed is filled with books and homework. It's a scary sight, but it's usually only this bad around midterms and finals.

Was that not private enough? How about this...I've never been kissed at midnight on New Years. I've never kissed anyone under the mistletoe. I've never had a one night stand. I've never ridden a bike.

But I have...lived in New Orleans, jumped out of a plane, broken a bone, travelled to Europe, kissed a stranger, and flashed my breasts on Bourbon Street during Mard Gras.
