I grew up in a loving home in New York City. Yes I was once a big city person. I am a man with pretty good manners and I believe in respecting my elders. I was once a competitive athlete. I was in the military and I now work for the government. I live a good life. I put God first in all things.
Life with Women:
I was married for over 20 years. My former wife gave me 2 wonderful sons. I carry no baggage from my former marriage. Although my life with women has had its ups and downs (no pun intended) I am well-adjusted because the good times have outnumbered the bad.
The most influential people in my life have been my mother and sisters. I cook, clean, can dress and I take better care of myself than most. I am not looking for a maid or cook but beware I don’t like lazy people. From my personal experience this rules out about 70% of American women.
What I am in search of:
A relationship with an intelligent, spiritual woman that believes in God and takes care of her mind, and body would be great. If you have a sense of humor and can laugh at yourself that is even better. Ideally I would love to be with a woman that makes me feel like letting go. I would like to be with a woman that I can trust enough to confide with any issue, a true confidant. I would love to find someone that makes me feel so good I can’t wait to come home and treat her like the queen she is. Once again this cuts the odds of finding the woman I am looking for by another 20%. The odds are not good for a man like me but I feel that I am worth it. I want someone fair, someone good, and someone that loves themselves enough to take care of the temple that God gave them. I am a humble individual but I do have some pride in myself. You should have some pride too.
I am a hopeful romantic. I am not arrogant or superficial but understand my self-worth. I am an attentive, kind and humble man; however, I don’t do drama… If you are over 40 and still hanging out in bars and nightclubs you should ignore my message because it simply won’t work. I had a few dates with a couple of women here and they were not genuine. If you are a date-aholic and prefer to date more than one person at a time, if you are into multiple partners (and you know who you are) - I'm not the man for you. If you are looking perfection or for someone to entertain you at their expense (both financially and emotionally) you can find that elsewhere because I am not perfect and I am not rich. Just like you I have many choices.
Please, honesty is the best policy.
(I hope you enjoy my poetry)
Who could sweep you off that floor?
Put glass slippers on your feet
Keep you like an ornamental bird
In gilded flat on Madison or Park
Who would want to stub his toe?
Keep you interested in music and soul
A beat that you have never worn
Not a man, nor a husband, nor a child will do
Your interest is in gold and diamonds too
No need bridal dress
No need for baby stress
No post-partum blues
No man, no! No!
No man to rule
Who would sweep you off that floor?
Show you the money but not let go
Flash a wad under your nose
Let you sniff what you can’t hold
Who would want to stub his toe?
On a woman that shows worse for wear
No longer easy on the eyes
