My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
To summarize one's self takes a level of self-awareness that I have yet to achieve. Instead I would prefer to reenact my life via a series of shadow puppets. Alas, OkCupid does not have that option..so I guess I'll just analyze and 'adjectify' myself.

I prefer quiet, laid back settings as opposed to loud, overbearing party type scenarios. Game/movie night with friends > rave. That said, I like having people around. I get really sad when I'm by myself. When my friends and I watch Mean Girls, I always claim that I'm basically Gretchen Weiners. I'm a sidekick, I know peoples' business, and I've had so many "JUST STAB CAESAR" moments, it's crazy. No, I'm not a psycho bitch--I don't actually want to stab people (just putting the disclaimer out there).

I ramble. A lot. I realize it's an annoying tendency I have. I want/need to fix that.

Some people describe me as 'pushy,' but usually not in the negative sense. I like to think of myself as more of a motivator--I like to encourage people to seek higher opportunities and take risks. It's why I truly believe my calling is to teach.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well I'm currently a graduate theatre student working on a master's degree. After this I'm going to teach for a bit before going out for a Ph.D in the field! The ultimate goal is to teach at the university level.

So...there's that. I'm more interested in hearing about what others are doing with their futures! :D
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Using emoticons. I used to be an actor, and thus I'm used to showing emotion. Messages, whether SMS or online, will be accentuated with this emotion, and it shall come in the form of emoticons/smilies. It's annoying, but...well, it's what I do.

Cooking. Fo'sho...I love to cook for my friends. Hungry? Hit me up, yo.

Gaming. Not in the competitive manner...unless it's Super Smash Brothers Brawl (I'll beat yo ass crazy).

Management. Stage management, financial management, all those fun managerial things...but only when it comes to the affairs of others. My own life is extremely unorganized.

Directing. Or so I like to believe. Others seem to agree, or maybe they're just being nice to me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My sense of humor, probably. I take everything in stride, and try to diffuse difficult situations with a well-timed joke or humorous comment. I don't like stuffy situations.

Physically? My eyes, I guess. Or my butt. It's pretty voluptuous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I love any book by Pat Conroy. His book "The Water is Wide" is what inspired me to go into the field of education. I'd suggest his works to anybody looking for a good read! Various play scripts of course, anything by Gregory MacGuire. I enjoy costume/fashion history books as welll.

Movies: STAR WARS! I'm a total nerd when it comes to my love of the Star Wars movies. I'm not "one of those fans" that dresses up like Princess Leia and goes to conventions, but I do rather like the movie series. The Scarlet Letter, Gone with the Wind, Hairspray (2007 musical edition), The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus (favorite Halloween movie EVER), Mean Girls, Avatar, Gypsy (1993 version with Bette Midler)

TV Shows: I don't watch much television, but when I do, it's usually either the news or Hallmark Channel (yeah I'm an old woman, sue me). I've recently become addicted to ABC's Once Upon a Time though...so amazing! I'm quite the Whovian as well. I'm currently trying to watch more of the classic series so as to familiarize myself with all of the show's history.

Music: I really just listen to a lot of show tunes from various musicals. I like various songs from pop artists such as Pink and Katy Perry...lately some Beyonce, but for the most part just give me some Sondheim and I'm happy.

Food: Mexican...I could live off Mexican food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Theatre
2. Friendship
3. Facebook/Social Media (Yes, I realize how sad that is!)
4. Money/financial stability
5. Knowledge
6. Something to do with my time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, primarily. Where is my place in the world, etc, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing what I do any other night--except maybe with vodka.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Though I list myself as 'gay' above, I really consider myself pretty bi-curious. I've never 'been' with a woman, but it's something I'm open to and curious about.
