My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I write dark speculative fiction. I'm a cartoonist. I used to work in tech and graphic design, but now I mostly void that. I got to school and work as a care worker and have some moderate success as an author - not enough to quit my day job. Some people think I'm funny.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an author.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm very computer literate, and I write poetry, lyrics, prose and grants well. I also draw, paint (acrylics. watercolors, and love open mike. You could say I'm a creative type. I'm also an ACMT, CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified computer technician.

I really like Gothic and alternative rock, but I also like more rap and hip-hop than you might imagine. I enjoy reading science-fiction, I read a lot, I usually don't watch movies til they are out on DVD or cable, a lot of times I find out I already read the book. I like drama, horror, fantasy] and sci-fi.

I like Thai food.

Ermm... books.. right now all I have in my house are Chronicles of Narnia, a full collection of Toni Morrison books, a few random Anne Rice novels, and some Harry Potter books. Unless you count technical manuals.

I have only gotten through The Bluest Eye and Song of Solomon so far and I am in the middle of reading Tar Baby.

A movie I recently really loved (or fairly recently): The Illusionist.

I also really loved that Stephen King flick Room... Room.. what room was that? I should hit the Internet Movie Database. (sigh).. erm.. can't remember.

Movies I loved from before: The Matrix, Felix the Cat, Clockwork Orange, Princess Bride, Momento, the first Scary Movie (but the sequels failed), Queen of the Damned (RIP Aaliyah), the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre rocked, Spawn of Chucky was hilarious.

Musical artists I really like? The Cure, Ludacris, 3 Doors Down, Depeche Mode, X, Public Image Limited, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Alicia Keys, Lydia Lunch, Creatures, Sioxsie and the Banshees, Love & Rockets (FYI I also really like the graphic novels of the same name), Mary J. Blige.

Okay.. I do like graphic novels, I read grotesque amounts of ElfQuest and still have some of them around here, and as I mentioned Love & Rockets, and various and sundry X-Men related titles (I liked the Amalgam series.) That's about it.. I never really got heavily in to other graphic novels, tho' my friends kept sticking copies of Sandman in my face. (sigh)

Oh.. I do love Stephen King so much I don't even CARE what anyone has to say about Stephen King .. my favorite writer IS Stephen King. I also really like Peter Straub, Issac Asminov, Clive Barker (yes, as a writer, I read some of his novels before they were made (by him) into movies), Alice Walker.

I already mentioned CS Lewis, Toni Morrison, and Anne Rice, and pretty much, if it is sci-fi or horror and it is given to me, or I see it, I will pick it up and get sucked in (except for there is something seriously wrong with the Anne Rice novel "Violin" because that is probably the only horror novel I have ever picked up and put down without finishing in my life.. its... sssssooooo... sllooooowwwwwwww.). Wow I almost forgot to mention Frank Herbert. And Susan Cooper. and HP Lovecraft. And Edgar Allan Poe. And you get the picture.

TV shows... CSI, Law & Order, Dead Like Me, NCIS, Numbers, House, Psych, and Monk are all shows I like. I am not a faithful television viewer so I tend to watch them when I can/feel like catching them or in re-runs and to prefer shows that wrap up in one episode so I don't feel under any obligation to tune in again next week.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Music 2) Family 3) Books 4) God 5) Internet 6) Conversation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Scripts, screenplays, video editing, grants, organizing events, having a more fulfilling and enriching social life, how to do my hair every morning, glasses versus contact lenses, the deep inner meaning of song lyrics... and other stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At karaoke singing and goofing with my friends and fam.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have endometriosis. And body piercings.
