My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am not here to cast the widest net or look for attention, I'm here to potentially meet my ilk. I like to think of myself as authentic, I don't fall for trends or peer pressure. I enjoy intimate conversations and relationships that allow me and the other person to open up and discover ourselves and ideas. I am an HSP introvert and if you know what that is, that's a good start :) I recently discovered my love of travel and for my first trip I went to to France the Summer of 2013 (I was studying history at SDSU and was inspired to finally make it happen) . During my first trip to France I discovered my love of rare books, I was already a bibliophile but buying my first rare book at Shakespeare & Company sparked a passion for me. Since then I have been to Ireland (my forever dream), Italy and back to France! While I am an HSP introvert I am also quite adventurous, spontaneous, and friendly. In one turn I am perfectly happy at home with my cats and books and the next I'm throwing myself out into the world. I love to travel, read, craft (I upcycle/re-purpose books), cook, write, among a variable of other things that spark my fancy at any given time.

"What you are is a complicated girl with simple needs. You need your books and time to read, and you need a few friends and you need someone-not to take care of you, but to care for you. If you have all those things, you'll always be alright.”― Brian Morton, Breakable You

I am a bibliophile and if I am not reading a book I am experimenting with re-purposing them (making jewelry and art). It seems counter intuitive for a bibliophile to destroy books but it's quite beautiful and cathartic; to create something out of an object that is seen as having only one purpose, being inspired by all the history and hands behind the object, to make it your own, to essentially be a part of the book. One minute I'm listening to classical music and reading a book rapt within its contents and the next I'm listening to punk rock and slicing into it trying to find a way to translate myself through it.

My "personality" and "Tests" portions on this site are disturbingly accurate...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated SDSU with a BA in History which I loved and miss. I believe in an autodidactic pursuit in continuing education so I am in love with the Yale series of courses online (watching French History Since 1870!) and attending open lectures. Currently I'm a legal secretary at an Intellectual Property Law Firm and am working on building my own rare books and bookish crafts business on the side. Next up is my next trip to include England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Paris, and Northern France (I cannot wait for Mont St. Michel and the Bernina Express!). I also spend my spare time researching and pricing rare books at the library aka my favorite days :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding the one spot in a crowded place where no one else is. Also, dancing to Major Lazer's "Watch Out for This (Bumaye)" lol
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am told I have a sweet smile and those more bold would say my derriere

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I put it like this, from neurons to space and all the bits between that I can try to wrap my brain around.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am with my cats and a glass of wine watching a movie, reading, crafting, writing, sitting in silence and thinking lol Though this is not always the case (I enjoy going out to dinner, hh/breweries, comedy clubs, concerts etc) it is my favorite. To some this may be considered boring but that's ok, I'm here to find my ilk and they know ;)

It works in rl but here you know a bit about me by now and throwing a "hi" out there for me to then engage you when you have put no's lazy, just click "like" that way I don't get an e-mail.
