What I’m doing with my life

I am currently a student at IUP in western Pennsylvania, going into my third year there. I am studying Journalism and quite possibly might be off to graduate school in a few years, if things go my way.

I’m really good at

I consider myself a people person, as I make friends very easily and enjoy meeting new people. I am also very good at writing, since that is basically what I am majoring in at college. I would also say that I'm very good at travelling as well, because I can travel by air, sea, bus, or car (I have yet to travel by train!) and not get sick. =)

The first things people usually notice about me

Five things that people usually notice about me is that I'm short (only 5 feet tall!), I speak my mind, I'm smart (when I'm not being silly), I'm not too picky about food, and I'm pretty easy going.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite books are few and far between, since I like so many different genres. I don't really read romance novels, though. The same goes for movies. I've seen so many different types, that I'm game for anything. I do enjoy comedies and horror flicks better than the rest, though. I'm not too picky about music, but I love the songs from the '80s. I'll listen to pretty much everything, but I'm NOT a fan of rap/hip hop. As for food, I'll eat just about anything, unless it's ketchup. It bothers me for some reason. =P

The six things I could never do without

Six things I could never do without would be: the internet, cable, an on demand hot water heater (I love long, hot showers. =) ), a pair of flip flops, and my friends.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I spend a lot of time thinking about love. I truly want to have a long lasting relationship that might lead to marriage. I'm not like a lot of other young girls that just want a one night fling. I want something real. I hope that if I find it, that that person wants the same thing and will be willing to take their time with me, as I do take a long time to warm up to a significant other.

On a typical Friday night I am

I usually spend my Friday nights in my apartment with my roommates unless we have made plans to go do something. I'm not a big drinker, so going to the bar is not something I really find appealing. When school is not in session, I'm usually at home with my family, spending time with them. They are a big part of my life.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit on this site is that I've been burnt before in relationships and I truly hope that does not happen again.

I don't like rushing things, so before I even feel ready to start dating, I would like to get to know you first by talking to you for a good while.
