Politix: Animal rights and veganism/vegetarianism are important to me, but I'm not a big jerk about it. Feminism and social justice (slash human rights in general) are also important to me, and I can be a jerk about it. Also: sex-positive/GGG; eff binaries and constructs. I'm all about: flat ontologies, (classical, avant, diy, folk, international, indigenous, etc) music, ancient history, forward-but-not-flashy fashion, transgressive/progressive/naïve art, bikes, social/critical theory, long aimless walks, eccentric intersections of spirituality and science (sacred geometry and so forth), nondualism, radical politics …

My aunt and I have a running joke that we're going to get matching tattoos of the International Phonetic Alphabet transcription of the sound of a box turtle mating. Half of me hopes it happens. I'm probably going to get a bunch of triangles or something instead.

Professionally, I'm working at DIY.org, a self-directed education platform for kids. It's socially and pedagogically progressive. Note the dumpster-diving. Next up: cop-watching. In the past I did some work in the academic sphere (Web Ecology Project), worked on some progressive videogames, wrote, and consulted for non-profits.

Next step: unisex clothing line? Oakland documentary? Non-profit technology documentary? A novel that's less crappy than the first one I tried to write?

What defines and deforms culture, what is necessary to prepare a society for innovations such as civil rights or animal rights, if there is a deterministic trajectory of society and whether that trajectory is “good”.

You're kind and strong and smart. You make things for reasons other than money. You want to go on a library date. You want to light candles and listen to music in the dark. You want to walk/hike/ride bikes then have a picnic.
