I mean, I've studied literature for the majority of my adult life, so there's a lot of books that are important to me. I also spent a year and a half in Korea where I spent most of my free time watching movies, so I know a few. I like music too. Beethoven is the best.

When I was younger I thought liking certain books or certain movies or music created individuality. Because of this I've cultivated a pretty broad range of interests. Rather than becoming jaded and disillusioned, I've realized that books, movies, and music will always be important to me. I've found that it's good to like things and explore personal interests. I may have grown up to realize that interests like these don't necessarily create a personal identity, but I do think they offer a valuable, worthwhile, and much-needed distraction to our complicated lives.
