After a long marriage, I find myself single again and surprised by how difficult it is to meet normal people willing to be vulnerable and free from harsh judgements based on their sometimes traumatic experiences (I have never made anyone hate men). I'm just a regular guy that would love to meet a regular gal. I'm fairly outgoing and I like people, enjoy a good conversation. I like hanging with people who have a dry wit and are constantly bantering in a way that makes me laugh. Born and raised in the City so I am not a Marin County, nice car, designer house, catered party kind of guy. I like taking the bus, think the Examiner was run by a bunch of fascists (prior to recent change in ownership, tho it is still a bad paper), and support social justice causes. Believe in living a healthy lifestyle - exercise and eat/drink in moderation. Try to keep active and volunteer. Like R&B - classic and contemporary. Having spent a good part of my youth doing organizing work, I think I developed good communication skills and can read people pretty well. But I only use my powers for good. Anyway, I'm getting tired of talking about myself. Let's hear about YOU.

OKC commentary: I may not get many dates out of this site but I do get a lot of entertainment from the questions. Some of them just completely crack me up. And I'm sorry, but I can't answer them all seriously. In the past, I would look at some of them and think, 'What kind of moron came up with THIS question??' But as I have gone through a few profiles, I realize that you actually cannot have enough moronic questions. Some people actually answer them thoughtfully and their responses are very scary. PHEW. Good filters! Pay attention to the warning, 'Y'all got issues!' It may be for reals.

I've got a job that I love with some wonderful co-workers who I consider my friends. I do volunteer work, support social justice causes, and that keeps me pretty busy outside of work. Enjoy entertaining and hanging out with friends. I exercise and eat right in order to support this lifestyle and achieve my goal to live to be 100.

I have been a political activist and community organizer and because of that I have good organizational skills and I work well with people. I like to think that I am reliable and an empathetic friend who will always be there when I am needed. I appreciate a good laugh and think that my sense of humor keeps my friends amused.

Music - R&B mostly, jazz, some hip hop. Movies: Latest were the Millenium trilogy

You have a great sense of humor, have liberal politics, and I'd prefer it if you were more on the slender side (I'm thin - just looking for someone similar).
