My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm brand new to Portland as of November and I'm trying to experience everything this city has to offer one adventure at a time. Originally from St. Louis, I went to school for mechanical engineering in Ann Arbor, then Boulder with a year living in Lyon, France thrown in there too.

I'm really into cooking and baking, bouldering, all sorts of books and movies, the occasional TV show, street art, hiking, biking, and travelling. I'm passionate about issues of social justice and I like to get involved in different kinds of community work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Climbing stuff
Wiggling my ears
Making falafel
Riding a bike with no hands
Raising a single eyebrow
Baking muffins
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That would probably be the delicious food that I’m making. That, and my awesome bod.

Movies: Too many good ones to count. Some favorites are Exit Through the Gift Shop, Zombieland, Persepolis, Children of Men, Ghostbusters, Brazil, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, There Will Be Blood, Manhattan, Princess Mononoke, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Moonrise Kingdom, Repo Man, Short Term 12, The Holy Mountain, and Dr. Strangelove. I'm also a big fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Rifftrax.

Books: Some of my favorite writers are Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, Alan Moore, Howard Zinn, Naomi Klein, Stieg Larson, Joe Sacco, George R.R. Martin, Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S. Thompson, and George Orwell

Music: A few of the bands I'm listening to these days are The Roots, Deltron 3030, The Cure, Sleater Kinney, Radiohead, Amanda Palmer, Eric B. and Rakim, Binary Star, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Janelle Monáe, The Clash, Hüsker Dü, MF Doom, and Lupe Fiasco. Also, electro swing.

Shows: Game of Thrones, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Parks and Recreation, Louie, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, Cosmos

Food: I'm really loving all the variety that Portland has to offer. Especially food carts! I'm down for pretty much any kind of ethnic food, and any kind of pastries or desserts. I love making fancy popcorn for movies, weird pizza recipes, curries, deep-fried anything, quesaritos, and anything on Smitten Kitchen.
