Just moved back to Chapel-Hill from Carrboro and Apex before that. I have a great job here helping folks with intellectual and physical disabilities and I love it. In my time off I like to walk and bike around chapel hill/carrboro, finding places with tasty vegan food, going to shows, thriting, trying to make new friends, looking for new things to do around this town and the rest of the triangle.

pareveinabox is my primary partner, we are in a committed, loving, poly-amorous relationship and I'm currently open to new friends and dates.

I'm currently working in the field of intellectual disability care and really enjoy it but I'm not sure what a "long-term career" for me will look like. I'm in Carrboro/Chapel-Hill for this (and maybe next year). I'm not sure where things are headed after that. I'm also currently trying to get more of an education but we'll see how that goes one step at a time. I generally keep busy with work, but am looking for new friends/lovers/whatevers in the area.

*Shows - I'm pretty about some Netflix instant: Trailer Park Boys, Arrested Development, The Walking Dead (but after this past season I may be done with this show), Queer as Folk, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (I kind of hate myself for liking this show), 30 Rock, and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares

*Food - I love some Vegan cooking by me and other folks. I'm constantly trying to eliminate wheat and sugar from my life but with limited success. I really like to have fun cooking whatever is fresh and in season in creative new ways. In terms of eating out, my favorites are definitely Thai, Vietnamese, Mediterranean, and kitchy Vegan Americana stuff. I also have an occasional soft spot in my heart for greasy Chinese take-out (Sesame Tofu anyone?)

*Books - Currently, a lot of really dry historical stuff about the Jews and the Hebrew bible for the most part. Also lots of out there raw foods stuff. Other favorites include, Kurt Vonnegut, EE Cummings, Spectacular Happiness, Cormac McCarthy, William Faulkner, Andrea Gibson, and Shane Koyczan. Gender and Feminism stuff including: Bell Hooks, Matilda Bernstein, Twice Blessed, and Queer Jews among many other things. Also I enjoy graphic novels and comics quite a bit, no so big on the super-hero stories though. My favorite is definitely the Lucifer series.

*Music - As with many things my taste in music is wide, scattered, and fairly unrelated. I grew up really into punk and hardcore in high school. I still enjoy many bands in that genre like: Lifetime, Jawbreaker, Graf Orlock, Comadre, The Clash, Joy Division, And just about everything in-between. I also enjoy many kinds of metal, indie rock, rap and hip-hop, electronic and dance music, country, old time, glam-rock, and lots of mindless pop from every generation.

*Movies - I love movies and I love nerding out about how shots are done, lighting, stories, and dialogue. I love way too many to name but if you throw a title at me I've very likely seen it and will immediately tell you how I feel about it.
