My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been in Boise for a short while now with my engineering job, and it's keeping me crazy-busy at times, so I'm finding that I don't have a ton of time that I can do all the things I want yet. So even though I've got plenty of things I like/want to do, more often than not I arrive home worn out and doing little more than watching Hulu.

I've got a ton of instruments and I compose music, I have my sportbike that I'm constantly fixing the electrical system on, I'm working on building a computer system that looks more like a command center than anything else, and I'm a fan of robots. All kinds of robots.

I'm also big on arms and armor, from the past and present. Trying to get back into target archery and shooting, I'm not a hunter but I'm a fan of the technology, so target shooting is fun that way. I'm rubbish at it too, but whatever.

I like the idea of going out on fantastic adventures, out of doors and under neon signs at night, but it's tough. I'm starting to get into planning for meteor showers, did one viewing for the Perseids which went mostly okay, I'd like to continue that tradition and find ever-better starwatching spots.

Oh and I also just got a kayak and haven't gone kayaking in forever but that's probably a thing I'm going to start doing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an engineer working on R&D computer memory, in testing how they work and stressing them to the limits. It's sort of like Mythbusters at a microscopic level.

I'm taking everything else very slow. So long as I keep at my job, I'm planning to slowly upgrade what I've got at a decent rate. Lasik surgery, new car, a house... normal stuff.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music. I think. I play the cello and write digital orchestral tracks, the sort of stuff you'd hear in a short film maybe. I'm looking to team up with an artist and make an online comic with no words but a musical score instead, in a good nerdy fashion.

Thanks to my job, I'm pretty good at simplifying complex technobabble.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that I could use a bit more sleep lately.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: Tron, Appleseed, various Rifftrax & MST3K movies, Serenity; I'm big on sci-fi and action but I'll watch most anything.

TV: Firefly, Futurama, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Top Gear, speckled with the occasional cartoon and old anime.

Books: Shannara series, other fantasy/sci-fi, but I haven't been reading much lately.

Music: I write some of my own, but I'm big on various classical and modern movie scores, bluegrass (Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers have some good stuff), classic rock and stuff like Hey Ocean, electronica and Daft Punk, the list goes on. I'll listen to most anything that shows skill and creativity in its production.

Food: Burgers. I would like to say I am well-rounded when it comes to food, but I'm not really. Fish outside of tuna makes me gag. I spend some time attempting to cook too, and it goes well maybe 3/4 of the time.

Video games seems good to mention too. I'm big on tons of classic games, but the occasional MMO or PC shooter can be good too. I don't spend a lot of time in games, maybe once or twice a week.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
...a mode of transportation? I guess that works too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Puzzles I encounter from my work and how to solve them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching Futurama and burning dinner when I get distracted by surfing the internet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Given the choice, I pick girl characters when playing video games. I just do.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you're the kind of person who would join me for meteor showers, comic conventions, Renaissance faires, and falling asleep on the couch while watching late-night movies.

And/or if you're someone who would like to collaborate on creative/artistic projects with music or whatever.

...And/or if you need a teammate in a good video game, because that's good too.
