I'm a hopeless romantic, old fashioned yet modern. Lots of people have told me, and I agree, that I was born in the wrong century. I would have fit in perfectly at the turn of the last century, any time between the 1890s to the 1950s. I'm laid back, down to earth, but also a bit of a dreamer. And just to show how eclectic I am, I consider myself a 21st century hippie.

I am creative, open, and a hopeless romantic.

Right now I'm working in tech support, but I am planning on going back to school soon to finish my degree in English and history. I want to teach at some point and find a way to work as a writer.

Writing. I love to write. I write mostly short stories and poetry. I also have an immense knowledge of impractical facts. I like that better than "trivia". :)

My openness and sense of humor.

Wow, I think I'd really need a book to do this field justice. :)

Books: everything by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Basically any great literature from the 1870s thru the 1950s. I'm especially fond of early 20th century modern literature. But I'm not too highbrow; I love sci-fi and fantasy too. I will usually read anything I can get my hands on.

Movies: All I can say is thank God for Turner Classic Movies. I love the Golden Age of Hollywood especially from the 1920s thru the early 1960s. I love musicals. I'm a sap for a good romantic comedy from that era, but I also love film noir, action/adventure, and westerns. I do like some contemporary films but not nearly as many as classics. My favorite movie is called Hollywood Canteen from 1944.

Music: I've been told I am the most musically eclectic person around. Again, I love the classics. The bulk of my music collection consists of recordings from the 1890s thru the 1950s, but I also 1960s hippie rock, classic rock like Elton John, Kansas; 1990s alternative rock, and electronica/dance. Some of my favorite artists are Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Cascada, Basshunter, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills and Nash. I am a huge jazz buff. Jazz is my true heart and soul. It's in my blood. Miles Davis and John Coltrane are tantamount to gods to me.

I can talk about these subject for hours. Just ask. :)

Food: I love everything, especially Indian, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Mexican. I'm very adventurous when it comes to food. I'm always up for trying something new.
