My self-summary
please refrain from sending me ANY messages about how i look! to clarify: this language is equally inclusive of messages reflecting positive sentiments about how i look; i am not fishing for your compliments! thanks for your co-operation and indulgent understanding :)

as good fortune would have it, i am a stupendously fantastic person with an exceptional sense of etiquette, a notably charitable heart, and an intellectual curiosity that rivals the most inquisitive of scholars! i know i wld be a dedicated, dependable, and loyal friend with years of good company and conversation to offer!

as a fair warning, it may take a little more patience on your part to develop a friendship to the point that my good qualities become obvious! i haven't had many friends in the past, so sometimes i can be a little less responsive to -- or even just less acquainted with in the first place! -- social cues that seem like they ought to be second nature to someone of my age!

if you are looking for an intellectually curious type, and enjoy sharing insights with other "students of nature" -- and if, in particular, you are willing to help your socially challenged friends get up to speed in a relatively unforgiving town xD -- i don't think you'd be disappointed!

i have lots to offer, i proo~oomise xD
What I’m doing with my life
trekking down the long, arduous (did I mention long? o.o) road to a doctoral degree in the hard sciences!

contemplating the aetiology of such not-fully-explained physical phenomena as the fractional quantum Hall effect and other unanswered questions about the elementary constituents of matter -- what IS stuff, really? xD

meditating over background-independent approaches to quantum gravity (n.b.: this language doesn't necessarily imply the apparently vacuous spin-network approach; i think causal sets and other approaches proceeding from information theory have a lot to offer on the intuitive level).

daydreaming about ways to wed the geometric intuitions of general relativity with the modern formalism of quantum field theory describing the other fundamental physical interactions -- suspecting it might be finally achieved in the opposite direction of the expectations of the "hep cats".
The first things people usually notice about me
i don't know...i don't get noticed terribly often!

when people get to know me a bit, i'm sure they recognise my fervour for learning about physics and offering up insights to friends! i super enjoy sharing the fascinating and mind-boggling concepts of 20th- and 21st-century physics concepts to physics-naive friends! :)
