My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm looking for like-minded friends in the BR area. I know OK C is primarily a dating site but have made some wonderful platonic connections on here in the past and know it can be done!

Disclaimer: I'm in a relationship and it is not currently an open one. I met him on here. Take heart people it can happen :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to become the person I've always wanted to be. Trying to become mentally and physically healthy, kick ass at work, and immerse myself in the culture of a place that is far from home.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty good at whatever I enjoy and set my sights on.

Right now I'm in an epic battle to win at the game of life. The odds are in my favor I'd say.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not really sure. Maybe you will tell me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite book and movie has always been The Last Unicorn.

Right now I'm reading Michio Kaku's The Future of the Mind.

I don't have cable. But I do use Netflix to watch binge-watch shows. The subject matter doesn't matter TOO much since I'm usually just keeping myself occupied while I clean, sew, or work on some other project. I generally stay away from reality shows though.

Music...yeah, I like that stuff! At work I listen to EDM to keep myself going but on my own time it's fairly eclectic. I like to be able to sing along badly and relate to the lyrics. Which leaves out most instrumental, the screechingest metal, and the most obnoxious country.

I like a lot of variety in my food as well. I tend to lean more towards vegetarian-type dishes and get bored with typical American fare. Trying new and bizarre dishes is one of my favorite things. That being said I could eat nothing but sandwiches for the rest of my life and be satisfied. As long as there was hot sauce. Whatever it is, it has got to be spicy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I've found this year that I can do without all kinds of things I thought were essential. Here are six things I would not WANT to do without.

1. Someone to trust and confide in. A person I can be completely honest with.
2. Someone to go out with and participate in random adventures with.
3. A diverse array of QUALITY ethnic foods (did this when I lived in MS, there is no good Indian food and it suuuuuuuuuuuuucked).
4. Cheap whiskey and good Scotch
5. Organizational tools ( I'm kind of a nerd for whiteboards, multi-colored sticky pads, and bullet pointed lists).
6. Law and Order
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I can go to a dark place mentally. So I spend most of my time carefully cultivating my thoughts. I think about things that make me happy and fill me with wonder. I think about the people I love and our silly inside jokes. I think about all the things I'm grateful for. I think about the future and how awesome it will be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I try not to keep Friday nights typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Still not really sure where to go with this question.... If you want to know just ask. I don't have anything to hide.
