My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I only have time to check my messages on OKC once a week...or month. :/

I'm a bi-poly, Pagan, geek, who prefers long conversations in coffee shops to spending time in bars. I've been accurately described by friends as, "...headstrong, pigheaded, sarcastic, sardonic, irreverent, inappropriate, ruthlessly honest, kind, loyal, dirty, curvy, funny and intelligent." Obviously these and my own self-assessments are subjective. You'll just have to find out for yourself if they are true.

I love history, literature, textile arts, table top RPG's (that's where my user name comes from), card games (think Munchkin & Creatures), board games, watching movies, traveling, being physically active, going to museums and art shows, watching cheezy TV shows, reading books, cooking, talking about food, food activism, hanging out with people, photography, and learning new things.

I'm looking for awesome geeky types to hang out with. NOT CASUAL SEX!!!!

Also, I'm getting really tired of people who send me one line messages that break down to one of the following. You're pretty. Lets hookup. What's your private contact info? Please, be smarter than this.

I think that stable, positive relationships, of all kinds, rely on open communication, kind honesty, and, what Dan Savage calls, paying the price of admission.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to start my sixth year in Korea at the end of February. I'm a third grade elementary school homeroom teacher. My job requires a lot of work so I'm often busy. I'm also about half way finished with my teacher cert program. I should be done this summer. Then, the dreaded certification tests. eek!

I've also been learning how to knit and crossing things off of The List. I learned how to play the ukulele because "learn to play an instrument" was on the list. Before that, I took taekwondo classes 3-4 days a week for about 2 years because "learn an eastern martial art" was on the list. Of course, I had a lot more personal time then.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at remembering random trivia, crochet, sewing, embroidery, cooking, research, reading, being happy, laughing loudly, editing, keeping a spending plan, research
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. I don't usually ask.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my family
physical activity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Life and The 'Verse and where I fit in the picture, when I'm not thinking about the last book I read, the cool thing someone brought up in conversation, the project I just finished, zombies, the project I want to start, the TV show someone told me to check out, getting out of debt, or, my fave, sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm probably doing homework or avoiding my homework by watching TV shows/movies or doing research online about random things. I also tend to get stuck on TEDTalks and one video leads to another.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Despite spending years developing the outgoing part of myself, I'm still, under it all, the shy kid in the corner.
