My Self-Summary

I feel a little too adultish to be filling out this summary with the weird little marks they request. I think this is something my teenage students might do. I'm really not digging it. Too bad I don't have any cool usernames to drop here. Anyway...I'm just looking to meet some new people. My job dominates my free time right now so I don't get to meet a lot of different people. I'm having a ton of fun teaching, but my social life has really suffered. I'm not the kind of person you would typically find at a bar. I'm much more likely to be hanging with a small group of friends at a coffee shop or bowling alley (bowling badly, I might add). I'm looking for someone I can share a laugh with, that's probably the most important thing for me. He will need to be kind, generous, and creative. It will help if he's liberal; I can't see myself with a conservative republican.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a high school English and Drama teacher. I direct shows, build sets, and coach forensics for the school too. I'm usually very busy with all of those extras, grading, and planning, but I'm starting to learn how to balance it all. And so far, it's been totally worth it!

Teaching, reading, writing, directing, playing practical jokes, tennis, 4 Square, roller coasting (huge fanatic), corrupting my two young nieces, "that's what she said" jokes

The first things people usually notice about me

My sarcasm. I can deliver some wicked lines. If you've ever seen Golden Girls, I'm the short but feisty Sophia of the bunch.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Too many books to list, but here are a few: Jane Eyre, anything by John Steinbeck, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Pillars of the Earth, The Bluest Eye, many many more.

My all-time favorite movie is The Sound of Music. It's corny, I know. I can't explain my attraction to it. I am a huge movie fan. I love seeing all sorts!

TV: Totally obsessed with The Office. I would love to meet and marry my "Jim."

Music: Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Harry Connick, Jr., The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Radiohead...pretty much anything besides country and rap.

Food: Mexican and Italian food...yum!

My job...right now my life completely revolves around it. It will let up soon. That's what all the veteran teachers say anyway.

Also, I often wonder what life would be like if we only had pinkies. Try managing everyday chores with just pinkies. Admit it, the thought has crossed your mind too!

Depends on what my work week was like, but either I am ready to get out and do something or just want to curl up with a movie and crash.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can fit twenty animal crackers in my mouth at one time. It really hurts, and I wouldn't recommend it.
