Here's some of the stuff I'm doing with my life now:
Every year, I invite a bunch of people who like to dance with hoops to Bali, Indonesia to play, meditate, do yoga, and eat some really good Indonesian food.
I perform, share, and teach hoopdance as a life practice. I believe that something very positive occurs when we spin our bodies. If you think about it, everything is spinning and swirling. I feel like I'm connecting on a deep cosmic tip when I spin in a hoop and it feels darn good. Side note: I had the opportunity to dance and teach military families and kids at the White House on Halloween last year. That event was an extra special sharing experience for me. Totally awesome.
I use my skills as a filmmaker to create short films for friends about the amazing projects they're doing.
I'm teaching myself many things about the new technologies appearing and the positive effects of social networks. I use Facebook often to connect and promote my ideas and I think that is good. I am a Twitter virgin, though. I just can't seem to get into it. I think I'll start an anti-Twit campaign. DON'T BE A TWIT!
Also, I conceive and design web-based projects about stuff I'm interested in. To know more about what I'm interested in, keep reading...
blaze through a bunch of books in a short period and other times, I
go to the bookstore and look through a bunch of titles hoping to
get turned-on by something and it just doesn't happen. I'm in the
latter stage right now. I think the last fiction piece I got into
was Middlesex and that was about four years ago. Last year, I
picked up a couple science, history, and spirituality blends but I
kind of use them all as references. My new way of "reading" is to
just ask a question, pick up a book, open a page, and read it.
Surely there's some interesting information to be gleaned from the
spontaneity of doing that, right?
Movies: I love experimental film. I especially love
experimental film that has a trace of narrative. I like some of the
blockbusters too. Avatar made me cry and Inception was such a
visceral experience, it felt like a drug. I ended up seeing it
Music: When I talk about liking music I usually refer to
tracks rather than genres or styles. I listen to what my soul wants
to hear. My latest jam is a remix of Al Green's "Simply Beautiful"
by Ex-Friendly. You can check it out here:
Food: My favorite food is chocolate. After that, I'll have
some greens and some protein. I like homemade bread. I like soup
when it's cold outside. I have a glorious sweet tooth.

My gypsy spirit (Have passport, will travel...)
