My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey. I'm Jesse and I'm 25 years old. My friends describe me as laid back, silly, caring, sweet, and funny. I love seeing live music and you can find me out at a venue seeing someone jam most nights of the week. I love to be social and have fun with friends, and I love to dance (not well haha) to the awesome music that we're blessed to have come around NYC.

I just moved to NYC at the beginning of 2013. I'm originally from Baltimore and would love to meet someone to explore this amazing city with!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently just started my own dog walking business and it's actually starting to pick up pretty seriously. I love animals, especially dogs, so getting paid to spend time with them is beyond amazing. It's also been a great way to explore NYC and Brooklyn since I just moved here a few months ago.

I'm beginning to train to become an EMT in August. I'm so excited to learn more about health and help take care of people who need immediate assistance. I also volunteer with a company who takes care of medical needs for attendees at concerts and music festivals.

Besides working, I spend a lot of time thinking about what to do with my time. That sounds slightly counterintuitive but it's comforting to be planning the next concert I'm going to, the next vacation I'd like to take, how to expand my business, and what I ultimately want out of life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Having fun and making everyone I am with have fun too. I'm a great listener and love to talk and be there for the people I care about. I love to live life to the fullest, stay up too late, and smile as much as I can.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm out and about, laughing and dancing. I'm always smiling and trying to make everyone else smile too. People also notice that I'm quite tan and wearing crazy t-shirts or hats.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm not a huge reader anymore, but my heart still beats for the childhood books I read growing up. Anything by Dr Seuss, Where The Wild Things Are, TBFG, Holes, and Harry Potter 1-7, obviously. On the more adult side, I loved Dante's Inferno, Fear and Loathing, and anything by Kurt Vonnegut or John Grisham

My favorite movie is probably Magnolia. I love most of the standard choices, Shawshank, Goodfellas, Lion King, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, City Of God, Shrek, Se7en, Usual Suspects, Apocalypse Now, Memento, Toy Story 1 and 3 (2 wasn't as good), The Green Mile, Full Metal Jacket, and How To Train Your Dragon.

I don't watch much TV but I enjoy Game of Thrones, The Wire, Arrested Developement, Freaks and Geeks (yes I know it hasn't been on TV in about 14 years but its still hilarious), Breaking Bad, HIMYM, Seinfeld, Curb, and Archer. I also love catching old Nickelodeon shows late at night like Hey Arnold, All That, and Doug.

It's music all the time, especially live music. I like it all, but my favorite band is Phish. And when I say favorite, I mean I'm addicted. I hit as many shows on tour as I possibly can, hopefully next summer I can go almost completely on tour and see Phish all over the country. Might be slightly crazy but totally worth it. I love almost all music though, the Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Radiohead, Galactic, Mumford, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Conspirator, Umphrey's, moe, Papadosio, theNewDeal, the Bridge, Crosby Stills and Nash, Beatles, Allman Brothers, Dr Dre, WuTang, Sublime, The Black Keys, Muse, Soulive, Lettuce, Dopapod, Railroad Earth, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Band, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Otis Reading, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Anything from the 90s, Rolling Stones, Greensky Bluegrass, RHCP, Talib Kweli, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and of course the Grateful Dead. There's definitely a bunch I'm missing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Social interaction
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where to go next, whether its for this weekend or way down in the future for my whole life. I also think a lot about puppies, music, my family, God punching a kitten every time someone is mean, winning the lottery, karma, outer space, Megan Fox's dwarf thumbs, dragons, why we exist, how Times New Roman was chosen as the standard font, meteor showers, being a member of the Wu Tang Clan and/or N*Sync, what the iPhone 14 will look like, the sun, watermelon, colors, summer, nature, and the leprechauns at the end of the rainbow with my pot of gold.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over the world.

But seriously, I'll be at any given venue jamming to live tunes, seeing my amazing friends, meeting new people, or diving into Netflix way too intensely.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm afraid of oatmeal and string cheese. Oatmeal due to its texture and string cheese because of the way people pull it apart and dangle the strings into their mouths.
