My self-summary
Boston native, San Francisco schooled and just moved to Jamaica Plain from Belmont and still getting used to living on this side of the city. Mostly I'm looking for some interesting like-minded souls in the area to hang out with, but always open for something more to come along.

a little bit about me:
I try to be down to earth as much as possible but often find myself drifting off into the clouds.
i have pretty strange political/social beliefs, i am an anarchist primitivist, and i believe we need to try to return to the earth.
I'm not really religious in a specific way, but i believe there is some sort of higher power/life force of the universe.
Right now in my life i am having difficulty choosing among the many paths i could travel down into my future, due to the number of things i want to pursue. Currently divided between going back to a better art school for blacksmithing, going to a cooking school, or trying to become a distiller.
i work at a place called Amsterdam Falafelshop in Davis, its pretty sweet but fairly mindless.
What I’m doing with my life
i'm always trying to improve myself physically mentally, and spiritually, currently with meditation, yoga, and learning about zen
I’m really good at
making people smile, fixing things, making cute little arty things, staying up all night doing nothing, working with metal, not being belligerent when extremely intoxicated, staying calm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
as for books I enjoy: any thing by Neil Gaiman, some Anne Rice, or any descriptively written fantasy or scifi.

For movies I like: Tank Girl,Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Sheakspeare in Love, Big Fish, Queen of the Sun, DiRT! the movie, Velvet Goldmine, Too Wong Fu, The Last Unicorn, Dark Crystal, Fern Gully, The Hobbit, Snatch, anything by Hayao Miyazaki , Rocky Horror Picture Show.

for tv I like: Doctor Who, Defiance! , Doc Martin, Breaking Bad, Star Trek, Warehouse 13, Torchwood, Firefly, Sherlock, Adventure Time, Dexter, Ru-Paul's Drag Race, the IT Crowd, X Files, Bones, NCIS,

for music i tend to jump around alot in a alot of genres, so a list of my favorite genres and a few examples would be shorter than the whole list. here we go:
Folk: pretty much all of it, from the 60's and through to modern indie folk, however I cant stand anything to "twangy". I really like: Iron & Wine, Angus and Julia Stone, Jose Gonzalez, Neutral Milk Hotel, and many others.
Punk: Rancid, Minor Threat, M.D.C., Leftover Crack, Against Me.
Goth/Industrial: Combichrist, Diary of Dreams, Covenant, Assemblage 23, KMFDM, and many others.
Blues: Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Leadbelly, Howlin' Wolf
Reggae/Dub: Lee Perry, Augustus Pablo, King Tubby, Horace Andy, Alton Ellis

and for food, i will try anything, but i dislike certain textures of food. Basically i dont like anything slimy or rubbery, I.E. Mushrooms, Baba ganoush, haggis, tofu.
The six things I could never do without
as a survivalist i have to say:
shelter
fire
water
food
a good knife
cordage
I spend a lot of time thinking about
i have ADHD so i tend to think a little bit about ALOT of things, a few of which are:

primitive survival techniques (in case it all goes to shit)

how we can be better to our wonderful all-mother, the earth.

the best way to mimic organic forms with steel
On a typical Friday night I am
probably out getting stoned and exploring, or fishing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i have struggled alot with depression, but i have finally conquered it for the most part with medication and meditation
