Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just turned 45! Wow! When I was younger I used to think being older
than 40 was ancient, but to be honest with you, I don’t feel any
different than I did when I was 21. I am lucky, actually blessed,
to have a strong faith, great health, a dream job! Also, a full set
of hair! No Rogaine for this mop head. Lol! I was born and raised
in Phoenix, and didn’t see myself ever wanting to leave the state,
but in 2009, I was laid off from the television station I was
working at, and had to head up to Sacramento to find work. In 2012,
I was given an opportunity to come home. Thank you Lord! Moving to
Sacramento created a distance between me and my kids. That was
torture! Being home close to them means so much to me. Besides
spending time with them, I love sports (Big ASU fan, Go Devils!),
staying active (Anyone for Thunderbird mountain?), and being there
for my friends (or I should say brothers).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been happy to be employed in the media industry for 16 years
now. Every day I learn something new and exciting, and I’m very
grateful to be working in a field that I dreamed about as a kid.
I’m in television now, but have worked in cable, radio, and briefly
in newspaper. It’s hard to describe exactly what I do, so I will
wait till were having dinner to go into the details. ;)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Swallowing my pride. I like to consider myself a very humble guy. I
will admit when I’m wrong and will do whatever I can do to fix a
problem. Nothing really offends me, and I’m sensitive and
respectful to another person’s philosophical differences. I’m a
carefree, happy-go-lucky guy that is looking for as little drama as
possible. Life is too short to not be happy. I know when to leave
my bags at the door. No baggage in these hands. Lol!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As I said before, hair stylists can’t believe how thick my hair is
for my age, so that is something. Also, I have been complemented on
my blue eyes, muscular legs, and, in the words of a lady I once
knew, a nice butt. Ok, I’m blushing now, but I’m just answering the
question as honest as I can.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don’t have a whole lot of time to read, but when I do I’m pretty
eclectic with my choices. I prefer biographies, but have enjoyed
Stephen King over the years. You also can’t go wrong with opening
the bible every now and then. My favorite movie of all time is the
Shawshank Redemption! Too bad it came out the same year as Pulp
Fiction and Forrest Gump, or it would have cleaned house at the
Oscars. My favorite music is pretty much anything. From country to
rock, you will see me bobbing my head to the beat. Food is pretty
much everything as well. Try to steer away from red meat as much as
possible, but will eat a steak if it’s put down in front of me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Six F's
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How can I better serve my community? As I said before, I’m a very
humble guy, and I have been raised to think about the needs of
others before myself. Starting and operating a non-profit to assist
various outreach charities is something I will do in the next five
years. I want it to be unique and different, so I’m still in the
creative process, but it will great. I promise you!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On Friday night, I want you by my side deciding how we are going to
spend our weekend. Whether it’s at home cuddled on the couch, or
out enjoying a nice meal, we will be excited about the fun stuff we
will be doing the next day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don’t know if it’s necessarily private, but I have this uncanny
knowledge of Pop-Culture. In other words USELESS TRIVIA! I am a
true Cliff Clavin. If you have never watched “Cheers”, try to catch
an episode and it will make sense. For some reason, that I can’t
explain, I have an immense knowledge of Music, Movies, Television
and Sports. Maybe it’s because I’m a nostalgic person. Interested
in the history of everything! Lol!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you are looking for a carefree, no drama kind of guy, who loves
everything about life and is grateful for everything the good Lord
has given him, then send me a message. I will say that one
disadvantage to being a nice guy, is that I have a tendency of
attracting needy women. All I ask it that you please have a strong
work ethic (career), a strong sense of independence (confidence),
and a genuine heart (kind). Please look past what I can provide and
accept me for who I am. I promise you, I will treat you like a
