I am intelligent, introverted, and geeky.

My Self-Summary

I'm a nerd. I am interested in computers, astronomy, physics, linguistics, science fiction (though I am by no means an expert in these subjects). I have a bachelors degree in computer science. I like to hang out with friends and play video games or watch movies. I also like to bowl every once in a while. I am very quiet, often in group situations I just listen to everybody else, only speaking up every once in a while. I speak some German. Random note, though I say I dislike cats in my info, that's not entirely accurate, I like cats, but unfortunately my immune system doesn't, I'm allergic to them. If I take medicine, I can usually tolerate them.

Physically, I think I'm decent looking, if a little short. 5'4", 145 lbs, long brown hair. I've been told I look like Kevin Smith (specifically Silent Bob).
Now in German
Nein!

Though I can speak the language and understand it decently, it would take me forever to write a paragraph in German, at least a grammatically correct one.

What I’m doing with my life

I work full time as a programmer. I work on a web content management solution for schools. When I'm not working, I'm hanging out with friends, surfing the net, or playing video games. I also enjoy the occasional night of bowling

I’m really good at

I'm good at pulling random movie/tv/literary quotes out of thin air, just don't ask me to do it, it has to be spontaneous. I'm told I'm a good singer, but very few people get the privilege of hearing that, talk to my steering wheel, it'll tell you what's up. I'm pretty good at doing stuff with computers obviously, hence the degree. I'm pretty good at vidja games. I'm alright at dance dance revolution, better than most anyway, though my little brother kicks my ass.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I don't talk a lot.

Or sometimes that I look like Silent Bob.

I assume my hair is in the first things people notice as well, since it is quite long.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

-- Books --
Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series
J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" (yes, I read them long before anyone heard of the movies)
George Orwell's "1984"

Lots more. I like to read, though I haven't actually had much to read in a while now. I need suggestions.

-- Movies --
The Big Lebowski
Fight Club
Office Space
No Country for Old Men
Memento

-- Television --
Battlestar Galactica
Stargate (any of em)
Heroes
The Simpsons
Star Trek (any of em)
South Park
Family Guy
Futurama
Rome
Firefly

-- Music --
Muse
Modest Mouse
The Offspring
Weezer
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Cake
Reel Big Fish
The Beatles

Lots lots more. No way I can do my taste in music justice by rattling a list off, and I can't really explain it by a category/genre, but those are some of my favorite bands. I can be content listening to pretty much anything but country or rap.

-- Food --
Spaghetti!!! Oh yes.. Italian food in general I guess is my favorite stuff. I also like spicy stuff, but I'm not going to act all macho and accept everyone's spicy food challenges.

The six things I could never do without

Electricity
Internet
Computers
Music
Friends
Something to keep me busy (work, school, something like that)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I pretty much constantly have some song or another running through my head. Ummm... I don't know, I'm constantly thinking about anything and everything, I'm really quiet a lot of the time, and therefore spend quite a bit of time in my head. I'll think about metaphors/similes related to the situation at hand. I'll think about how things might be done more efficiently with computers/robots, and how it would be coded. I'll think about how things could be made into an interesting movie, etc. etc.

On a typical Friday night I am

Eating dinner with my parents. Yeah, lame I know, kind of a Friday tradition though.

Also occasionally at a bar with my coworkers. I'm not a huge fan of drinking myself, but they are, so eh, I'll join them and have some fun from time to time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Hmm, nothing here. Ask me personally.

You should message me if

If you're an open minded, liberal/progressive person. If you're a nerd and/or a geek. If you don't mind me being shy. If you enjoy hanging out playing video games. If you like science fiction. If you're a purdy lady.
