My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Jason. Named for the months July through November, and am as clever as the cause of my name... Which is to say, not very. :P I am good at what I do. That tends to be a rather self centered statement, but bear with me: I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well, and I don't waste effort doing half a job when I can spend a tiny bit more to do the job right.

Oh, and yes, I made a bear pun. Stay classy. ;P

Beyond that, I tend to take things easy. Incredibly so. No drama. Had enough of that in high school.

The sun is my nemesis. Meatspace is my enemy. You merely adopted the shadows, but I was born in them. If you have seen me, I have done something terribly, horribly wrong. I am... Techie. Or a ninja, you know, I'm not picky.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
GOD, OKCUPID, YOU SOUND LIKE MY MOM.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
If I had to pick three things, it would be computers in general, the technical side of music, and video games. Lots of video games. So many video games. I need to find people to play multiplayer games with, because I'm running out of single player games that exist. In the world.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My serious-face. My entire family has a bad case of serious-face. I swear I'm enjoying myself, even if you don't think I am.

I crack jokes. Lots of jokes. Sarcasm, off the cuff remarks, puns, tongue in cheek comments, you name it. I try to stay away from the offensive stuff, but I can honestly say that sometimes I don't see the Line of Tact, trip over it, and sail headlong into I'm Going To Hell For Laughing At This land. And I don't regret it in the least.

Oh God, here we go.

Books: the Star Wars Expanded Universe. I feel like I haven't mentioned Star Wars yet, which is a travesty because DEAR GOD I LOVE STAR WARS ahem, sorry. Also, the King Arthur and Sir Apropos trilogies, both by Peter David, as well as the Song of Ice and Fire series by GRRM. (If you have theories about what's going to happen next in the books, make sure to message me: I do so love to discuss wild ASoIaF theories). The Eisenhorn Trilogy, set in Warhammer 40K, is another really good trilogy. Has anyone noticed the best things usually come in trilogies? Like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, how did I almost forget that one?

TV Shows: Community. Game of Thrones, to a lesser extent than I like the books... The actors are great, though. Doctor Who, though I lost a lot of interest after Ten left. Nine and Ten were, ahem, "Fantastic!" I can't think of anything else, off-hand. I don't want much TV, I prefer Doin Thangs(tm).

Music: I'll spare you a novel and just go with the bands I have on my phone. All That Remains, Amaranthe, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet for My Valentine, Dark Tranquility, Darkest Hour, Delain, Fireflight, Five Finger Death Punch, Hurt, In This Moment, Machinae Supremacy, Masterplan, The Material, My Darkest Days, Persuader, The Red Ribbon Army, Scar Symmetry, Shinedown, Sirenia, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Thrice, Within Temptation.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music.
My computer.
Bears.
Video games.
The Internet.
Messaging people on dating apps and saying nice things to them, knowing they'll never reply. Seriously, after working with/for idiots all day every day, it's very therapeutic to search for nice things to say about people for a change.

(Note: I would have listed friends, but those are people, not things, and that's cheating.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people who can barely tie their shoes want to have kids.
How some of the people I meet are able to breathe without constantly being reminded.
How to answer this question.
When I'm finally gonna get to go to a metal concert again! UGH.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Mixing artists at a concert at work. I mean, it's work, but it's also free concerts almost every week, that I get to let a few friends in on. I think it balances out in my favor quite a bit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Uh... Huh. I'm actually having a hard time coming up with something. I don't really keep things private. Just ask me stuff. Or look at the questions section, those things test even my openness!

You're a cool person. Or just, in general. Say hi. Say what's up. Say purple monkey dishwasher, I don't care.

No, but really, if someone messages me just saying purple monkey dishwasher, I'll be pretty psyched.

Edit: nobody has yet messaged me saying purple monkey dishwasher. I'm actually kind of disappointed

Edit: even still, I haven't received a message saying purple monkey dishwasher. I have lost faith in you people.

Edit: I'm switching it to "rubber baby buggy bumpers" because I realized I don't remember where purple monkey dishwasher came from so it might be an inside joke and you guys are all "dafuq is this guy on?"
