Hi there...

I'm 32, divorced for about three years now, and the mom of one little boy (he's seven). I have a great job that I love. I love live music, so most free weekends, you'll find me at a concert...and sometimes during the week if I'm feeling crazy ;) I also love attending performances at Bass Hall, going to the movies, checking out new restaurants, taking weekend road trips, traveling in general, wasting away on the beach, hiking, boating, swimming, laying in bed with a good book, kicking my son's butt in Skee-Ball (I am the world champ), and lots of other stuff. I traveled a lot when I was younger, and now that my son is older, I can do much more traveling. I am going to Australia for three weeks in January 2010, and I'm STOKED!

I'm at a point in my life now where I'm ready for the next step, whatever that may be. I'd like to find someone I really click with on every level, develop an amazing friendship and connection, and take it from there. I am looking for someone who is close to my age, intelligent, moderately fashionable, possesses a fantastic sense of humor (I am in love with Seth Rogen), enjoys going to concerts and can't get enough of it, and understands that a relationship is a marathon, not a sprint. ;)

As for what I like in a guy, I don't really have a "type." For me, it's more of the vibe. I'm looking for someone I can be my goofy crazy fun self around...someone who has a personality similar to mine...someone who knows how to have a good time when a good time is called for, and someone who knows how to get down to business when it's time for that. I like free spirits...people who march to the beat of a different drummer...people who are unique and spontaneous and FUN....

I will say that if you are older than about 36 or younger than about 26, I'm not going to be interested.

I like to be surprised...and I like to surprise. I am very generous and I like that quality in others. I want someone who is well-versed in music and movies so that we have things to talk about. I love to cook and bake for my man, make mix CD's, and write goofy poems...I'm very romantic when I want to be ;)

I'd choose The Beatles over Elvis...beer over wine...steak over sushi...jeans over a dress...swimming over tanning...House over Grey's Anatomy...a pub over a club...tattoos over piercings...Rolling Stone over Cosmo...sterling silver over gold...Sailor Jerry over Ed Hardy...flip flops over high heels...on the rocks over frozen...Freebirds over just about any other restaurant...Seinfeld over Friends...staying up late over waking up early...daisies over roses...Target over Wal-Mart...a few good, close friends over many not-so-good friends...being single and happy over being in a relationship and not happy ;)

I work hard, but I also play hard. I usually work about 50 hours a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. We can discuss what I actually DO privately ;)

I have a very active seven-year-old who also keeps me quite busy. He's great, funny, and so sweet :)

Outside of my son and work, I spend time with friends and family, travel, and attend a LOT of live shows :)
