I am a big, geeky, and doofus.
My Self-Summary
well.
inveterate blogger.
geek of the first order.
12 year IT professional.
Veteran.
I've been in CT for 24 years, but bounced around quite extensively
before that. I own the most computers of anyone you'll meet and
probably more comics that anyone you know. I'm considered "the cool
uncle" by my 11 nieces and nephews.
I've learned a lot of strange and off-to-the-side things as I've
gone along.
I was once teased into reading all 7 Harry Potter's over the course
of last summer because "my cape and cowl were going to be taken
away if i didn't." (that's a direct quote, but i do NOT own a cape
and cowl. Maybe one day.
Normally people wouldn't reveal this much geek ahead of time, but
frankly, this is precisely who I am.
My geekiness does not overshadow my nerdiness; I'm in a constant
research mode; if I suddenly come across something interesting,
I'll absorb everything I can about that subject.
Nor does it overshadow basic human interaction skills. I understand
what a date is and how it can be fun, I understand compliments and
how to give and take them. I have manners, courtesy, and
thoughtfulness for others.
and the one on the right is Shinola.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm saving for a house. I'm databasing my comics. I'm practicing my
backswing, and Im getting better with golf all the time. I'm taking
Fencing lessons. (for god's sake, not white pickets. Foil.)
I'm trying to find a stage combat class. Producing a weekly comics
podcast.
I’m really good at
troubleshooting computers and organizing household storage. I've
gotten pretty good with a 7 iron drive, and a 9.
i cook like a madman.
The first things people usually notice about me
....is that they can't help a Fonzie or Andrew Dice Clay
comparison. After that it' usually the incredibly thick black hair
or striking hazel eyes. (could that have gotten more self-serving?)
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
sigh. westerns,(unforgiven, the searchers, tombstone)
starwars,
Shopenhauers' Telescope, Blues, big fan of steak, italian, korean,
chinese.
The six things I could never do without
my blog. my car. my books. my job.
I can't really think of six, because with those, I can get to or
acquire anything else-as a young'un, we didn't have a whole hell of
a lot, so a possession needs to be incredibly important, useful,
and sentimental for me to say "i can't do without it"
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the zen of computer troubleshooting.
how to finance my upcoming house.
What to talk about on my podcast.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a bar or a buds.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i have a lightsabre
You should message me if
you're ready for a committed guy with a number of facets that still
haven't been found yet.
