My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm mostly in a constant state of trying to get my life together...easier said than done in my career path. Since I graduated from college, I've realized that it's way harder to meet people in the "real world." I'm really just looking to meet new people, and if something more than friendship develops--so be it. I'm a fiercely loyal friend, but I am horribly awkward in social situations involving people I don't know. I hope that someone will find my introverted side endearing. If you are not afraid to laugh at potentially offensive or silly things with me, and yet can have a serious conversation too, we will get along well. If you message me "hey gurl want 2 txt," I probably won't respond, because...grammar. Come on, at least pretend you took an English class at some point in your life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach middle schoolers how to make beautiful sounds on instruments...at least, that's the goal. I'm also a freelance musician in West Michigan, mostly playing orchestra and pit gigs. I want to use my summers off to travel the world (preferably the UK, Ireland, and Scandanavia)...after I finish my masters degree.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at listening. Some people mistake me for being a quiet person because of this. I'm also good at memorizing useless information and self-deprecating humor.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
-I laugh a lot!
-I am very passionate about my career.
-I don't get offended easily.
-I tend to overwork myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
This is a tough one...I can do some serious damage on thriftbooks.com...Harry Potter is my favorite book series of all time.

Stuff I watch on TV: HIMYM, Friends, Whose Line, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I'm super into the Marvel cinematic universe, and holy crap...INHUMANS!!!), Parks and Recreation, and HGTV when nothing else is on.

I am definitely a music person. I love Ben Folds, Mumford & Sons, Maroon 5, Fun...and lots of band music. Also, I've been on a 40's Jazz kick lately. I think all music has some sort of value, even if I don't necessarily enjoy listening to it.

I like to try new foods. I really enjoy Thai food and sushi, and I love (trying) to cook things!

Also, I like beer. A lot. Founders is probably one of my favorite places in the city, except that its too damn busy all the time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Friends, Family
-Music
-Coffee
-Phone
-Sweaters! They're the best.
-My sense of hearing. It's pretty important for my job.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I either think about the answers to really odd questions (like, if I move away from Michigan, can I still show people where I live on my hand?) or the future. I'm always trying to figure out what the next step is in my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm out with my friends, trying to find the best hole-in-the-wall places in Grand Rapids, watching my favorite local rock band, playing a gig somewhere, or relaxing at home watching Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I feel like the fact that I'm on here is embarrassing enough. People say there's no stigma, but why do I feel so weird?
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-If you have something to say.
-If you think you can make me laugh.
-If you know what my username means (no, my name isn't Jane). :)
-If you don't mind coaxing an introvert out of her shell. Promise I'm a riot once I get to know you!
