Likes include stylish, intelligent men (with bonus points for geeky inclinations, ambition, or well-done tattoos/piercings - major bonus points for all three), sarcastic/witty banter, writing, cooking, tea (chai!), dark chocolate, coffee, snuggling with my dog, sci-fi/fantasy/general nerdery, going on random adventures, and occasionally getting crafty (like making things, not like being clever. I'm clever all the time, not just occasionally).

Dislikes include badly written books, atrocious grammar/spelling, being bored, mind games and the people who play them, flakes, pretentious fucks, and self righteous jerks. Oh, and people who lack follow through. Put up or shut up, y'all.

Quirks include a very strong feeling that in general, sweet food should be cold and savory food should be hot, and an intense dislike of zombies (they give me nightmares). I'm an INTJ or INFJ, depending on the day, but nobody ever believes that I test as an "I" because of my personality. Sigh.

I run my own business doing project/operations management for online businesses & I also do classes/workshops helping creative business owners be more productive & organized. And I write. I like to joke that I'm OCD for hire and I like to stay busy.

Sass, taking action, being bossy, playing Yoshi's Island (well) while inebriated (see also: Wii bowling), surprising people with random knowledge, cooking, and having a good eye for design/aesthetics.

Almost always the hair or tattoos, sometimes the glasses. After appearance, I'd love to think it's my sparkling wit and charm. In reality, I often get told I'm loud. I'm just a really enthusiastic person, okay?

TV: Community, Buffy, Fringe
British TV: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Misfits, I.T. Crowd (even though that's four, Moss is worth breaking a rule for)
Nerd cred: Avatar (TLA & LOK), Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Firefly

Movies: Coraline, Moulin Rouge, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Raphael is CLEARLY the best, closely followed by Donatello, and I will fight you if you say otherwise.)

Reading: Philip Pullman, Calvin & Hobbes, and various nonfiction on creativity/memory/business/productivity/etc. (Moonwalking with Einstein comes to mind, also, currently reading the Signal and the Noise)

Music: The Clash, Gogol Bordello, Streetlight Manifesto

Food: bacon, tacos, and...really those are head and shoulders above the rest. I eat mostly paleo/primal but I'm not super strict about it when I'm not at home, because, tacos. TACOS.

I dislike this question so I'm not going to answer it. Because, you know, I'm a hardheaded rebel like that. (That's probably why Raphael is my favorite.)

Why OKCupid doesn't have some kind of A/B split-testing feature for its profiles. You'd think they would given their focus on algorithms and statistics, but no. I want to test conversion rates because I am that special kind of curious & nerdy.

Other than that, why Hulu keeps advertising baby products and Mormonism to me. I'm totally a lost cause for both of those, Hulu. You're wasting your advertisers' money.

I own a pair of Batman underwear. I wear them whenever I want to feel like a badass. (So...on a pretty regular basis.) (UPDATE: I've added Spiderman undies to the arsenal. Now I just have to find an Iron Man pair and I'm all set for superhero underwear.)
