My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ugh self-summary... Anything I would write about myself is probably different than the way others would perceive me; but I suppose that's a cheap cop-out. I feel uncomfortable saying things like I am smart and funny or those cliché things that forums such as this often produce. I am an enneatype 7 with an 8 wing, that’s an easy self assessment. My default setting is silliness but I love getting very contemplative about the 'big' questions. I really love learning, which is good because I am quite busy finishing up my masters in Consciousness Studies. I will be done next summer. When I am finished I am not 100% sure what I will be doing, but I am leaning toward starting PhD. I really love the outdoors, camping and hiking. I would really love to talk a couple months off when I am finished with school and hike the Pacific Crest Trail, at least two months of it.
I don’t really like small talk I find it quite boring and since I am put in that position somewhat frequently at work I hope to squash it whenever I can. I much prefer authentic relating, I would much rather be with someone in a vulnerable space, the kind of relating that might be scary, but facilities greater understanding of self and other. I find that to really hold that space requires courage and also staying connected to our somatic awareness. Our bodies are an amazing antenna telling us things when we are attuned.
I am a very spiritual person, though I am not very reverent. But do not mistake my irreverence, I love the perennial wisdoms and hold deep respect for them.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
About four years ago I was unhappy in my career path. I owned a business with my brother and I decided to go back to school. I left because I could no longer work for only a paycheck and nothing more. I have had an amazingly blessed life and feel it necessary to have a more altruistic career path. I moved here to the bay area from Utah and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. While I have plans for the future I have a also an awareness that there might be a deeper purpose for my life that my plans might not comport with. I am headed for becoming a professor, or at lease a teacher of some kind, but I am also aware that things might change. I try to show up for life, to live life fully, even though I often fall short of this. But looking back on the last few years I am very happy to know that I am walking the right path for my life. This is a the first time I have had this feeling and I am incredibly grateful.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rollerskating backwards is preeeety close to the top. Equestrian orthodontics, yup that's right equestrian orthodontics. Don't judge. Horses need great self-esteem too. Oh and I am a great deep sea swordfish fencer.

My favorite music: this is an impossible question I have so many. I am listening to Saul Williams while writing this. Sufjan, Rufus, Neutral Milk Hotel, Mew, low, Iron and Wine, Bon Iver.
