My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I would love to meet a girl who knows that I want her to be my CJ Craig or my Leslie Knope, and that I'd be her David Addison or, maybe, if I flatter myself, her Will McAvoy. I want someone who wants to pursue joy and debate for hours on the merits of a cautious but practical centrist legislative play, or escape to the mountains for a weekend of hiking and exploring. I want someone who's just a bit too good for me so my heart-rate can always be a little elevated, someone who will let me be romantic and ridiculous sometimes without rolling her eyes too much, and someone who doesn't think I'm crazy when I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am in technology, which is nebulous enough to take back to your mom, right? She'll still like me? Besides that I've rediscovered my piano side recently and I'm writing a lot of whiney ballads no one will ever hear. I'm also finally getting some free time, so I'm planning several trips. I get that I need to check my privilege (Yup, still there), but it is kind of nice just sitting there, browsing through places I've never been. One of my friends has a song with a great lyric - "Every danger is imagined for, Anyone as lucky as we are, Except the one, and that's so far off. " That's about it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to create beautiful things. You'd have to be in a certain world to understand how that applies to tens of thousands of lines of code, but it's all one - clean bold lines, be it on a canvas or in a sales deck - I like to compose and dream and then revel in the greatness of it. Sometimes it even is.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a talker. It's a nervous twitch that's gotten me far in life, but in a new situation or an awkward one, I go verbose chameleon faster than I'd like to admit. People's first impression of me is usually either, "Wow, he's really into [topic at hand]," or, "Wow, he really loves the sound of his own voice." I should really stop writing so much self-deprecating stuff on my profile.

I'm sure I'm not the first one to talk about Arrested Development or any movie by Wes Anderson, so book-wise... You Shall Know Our Velocity, GEB... man, I sound kind of lame. Food - spicy - ideally Indian. Music - Bright Eyes, Ben Folds, Fun. - I'm feeling kind of typical right now. I'll get back when I remember something crazy about myself. Also, Newsroom - it's easy and probably a bit silly, but I like a good combative romance.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Dog
Fresh Air
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the star-stuff that makes me me and my family my family and my friends my friends. There was a great This American Life awhile back about a guy who cloned his beloved bull and they were shocked to find that the new one - the cloned junior - was just... not the same. He wasn't bad, he was raised as identically as they could, but he was just not the same. I wonder how different I would have been if I'd been born 30 seconds later.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with a few friends, watching something independent, or just reading. My work is very flexible, so my weekends and weekdays are all about the same.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I keep movie stubs. I have them since fifth grade. It's kind of creepy - unless it's AWESOME. I'll take the latter.

you are smart as hell, creative and a bit crazy and you want to meet someone who adores that.
