I started this account because of some amusingly well-written quizes. My wife and I really aren't actively looking for anyone else but we are travelers so we like to meet new people wherever we are.

I am a Norse Reconstructionist Pagan/Heathen (Asatru), my wife, greenkira, is something of a syncretic Norse/Celtic Reconstructionist Faery Mystic along the lines of W. B. Yeats, or perhaps Hiberno-Norse Meso-pagan Constructionist with a healthy dose of Hermeticist. To different degrees, we're both interested in Western Ceremonialism from both an academic and a practical background. We're both from Minnesota and have spent a good part of our lives in Minneapolis.

We're living in Moscow, Russia for a few years building up our savings before moving back to Stockholm, Sweden. It feels enough like home that we may actually be settling down there. For the 2009-2010 school year we were teaching in Samsun, Turkey. It was a great experience but Samsun was rather boring. Before that, we had been living in Minneapolis again where I was the head of Security for a downtown night club. This was after living in Berlin, Germany for seven months and Moscow, Russia for three years before that. We both teach English when we're abroad. Otherwise my background is in security and hers is as a travel and fashion photographer.

I'm always willing to get together with others to discuss Norse/Nordic/Scandinavian/Germanic religion, mythology, history, culture, or folklore.

Contrary to the widgets on this profile, I think I am actually less into sports than most guys. But I like doing things not just watching things, so I think that's skewed the results. I don't actually play any normal sports but I do Viking-period living-history reenactment and live-steel combat in the (Eastern) European-style. My wife thinks I'm a bit daft for that but she loves going to the events for the photographic opportunities. For normal sports, we both play paintball and bike a lot. I also model, mostly for photography (art, fashion, and travel) but also for painting.

I also prefer to hunt for my meat. Minnesota has a surplus of deer and I feel that it is good to be closely connected to your food and to not take it for granted. In the (near) future, one of my close friends has invited me to join him on a sacred hunt. Just us, our spears, and the boars. Not sure if this will happen in the US, Germany, or Sweden.

I'm a freelance English teacher. My wife and I are originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. We've also lived in Samsun, Turkey; Berlin, Germany; and Stockholm, Sweden. Now we live in Moscow, Russia.

I also enjoy playing MMORPG computer games, my wife got me started with Anarchy Online, then we were invited to World of Warcraft by our friends in Minnesota. Then we gave it up for Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO). I play on the Landroval server and am part of the Knights of the White Lady Kinship, the game's first LGBT friendly Kinship. A welcome change from the homophobia of the Russian provincial mindset. My main character is named Alfrodul, if you're ever on. Before that, I was busy organizing the Asatru and Heathen community in Minneapolis and the rest of Minnesota, representing The Troth for the upper-Midwest, working as a volunteer prison chaplain for two Asatru groups at Minnesota State Prisons, and working for the U of MN Police Dept as the Senior Security Supervisor.

Knowing a little bit about everything and getting things done. Also, working with children, even "problem children", even though I don't have any of my own.

Drinking coffee, good beer, hard cider, or mead with friends at a nice cafe, bar, or club, possibly a tango, swing, or burlesque club depending on the friends and the city; watching a movie with my wife and others; out walking the city; playing LOTRO while chatting with friends; traveling; modeling gigs.

By any of the purity tests on-line, I'm oddly pure in deed for someone who has in the past majored in design, theater, and art, while having been a Pagan involved in both the SCA and the local Renaisance Festival (although I am equally casual about the "impure" parts) (and I still score lower than all but two of my LGBT friends, that vexes them) (these tests are supposed to be used as checklists, right?).

Other than that... hmmm... if I take my wife and any of the women we know to the hardware store or DIY center people assume they're the couple and I'm just the ride.
