I am open minded, hard working, and a travel addict.
My Self-Summary
I'm 6'2, 33, in good shape, open-minded, and kind.
I love
museums,
nature,
picnics,
gardening,
bike riding,
camping,
travel,
working around the
house,
movies,
zoos, the
theater,
float trips,
roller derby,
amusement parks
(when they're not crowded),
scuba diving, and just going for
an afternoon
drive.
My current travel wish list includes Egypt, the Trans-Siberian
Railroad, and Machu Picchu. Unfortunately I'm not having a lot of
luck finding anyone who can join me on anything that elaborate. How
about it, feel like traveling half way around the world?
When I go out at night I like a fun, relaxing time. No 500 people
crammed like sardines into some club with over priced drinks and
bad music playing way too loud. Movies are great as is talking with
friends, playing games, a nice little bar where the people are
actually friendly & you can hear each other, or just dinner and
a walk. I don't really watch much in the way of sports. I like to
go to a hockey game or the roller derby every once in a while but
that's about it.
I work near downtown KC and tend to spend a lot of time downtown,
in midtown, and on the Plaza but am open to women from anywhere
around the area.
Random Facts: I like to split meals at restaurants. If I won the
lottery, one of the things I would do is start a free range animal
shelter. There is something really hot about a woman in a long
flowing skirt. I love to lay in bed and snuggle. I have an almost
compulsive desire to travel and see/experience the most exotic
things that the world has to offer. I'm very attracted to kinky
women; no kink in particular, just anything that you're into that
will make me ask quizzically "Really, you're into what?" which will
likely be followed by, "Heck yeah, I'm up for it!". I have an
adorable black & white Shih Tzu named Roo (except when he's
bad, then his his name is Roocifer). I would rather be intelligent
than handsome. I'm a great cook and can grow just about anything
(several types of tomatoes, bell peppers, and sweet peppers at the
moment).
With the exception of vacations and the occasional splurge, I live
a fairly modest lifestyle. I have a little house, an old (by
reliable) car, and am blissfully unaware of what the current
cool/in thing is to buy or wear.
What I’m doing with my life
I work a lot but love to spend time with quality people. I've been
self-employed for over 13 years and I have a cute little house that
I'm restoring. Most of my interests are covered in my
"self-summary".
As far as recent events are concerned... I recently went to Blue
Stem and it was amazing, seriously the best meal that I've ever
had. If you want an amazing 2-3 hour dining experience from a world
class chef to mark something momentous, you have to try this place.
I'm trying my best to go skydiving for the first time but I keep
getting rained out, I just got back from New Orleans for a business
trip and it was amazing. Loved the architecture, food, and music so
much! I have two camping/rafting/canoeing trips planned in the next
month.
I’m really good at
Anything business related, cooking, coming up with romantic
evenings or getaways, finding a great deal, and computer/tech geek
stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes (light blue), my height (6'2"), and my smile (I do it a
lot, I'm a pretty happy person).
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I tend toward informational, educational, historical, etc.
most of the time. If I want a good or moving story I usually go
with a movie. I also tend to read a lot of travel magazines looking
for places to go. If I had to choose a favorite book, it would be
Animal Farm by George Orwell.
Movies: It's hard to find a movie that I wont sit through but the
only ones that I watch over and over tend to be romantic comedies
or romantic dramas (think The Notebook, A River Runs Through It,
Two Weeks Notice, etc.). From time to time I need a loud action
blow em up explosion and mayhem fest type movie. The first are best
at home curled up on the couch with a fire going and the second are
always best in the theater.
Music: I can go for pretty much anything. I tend to listen to 93.9,
94.9, 95.7, 98.9, 101.1, & 103.3 with 101.1 being the one I
check first for something good.
Food: I love most kinds of food with my favorites being Mexican,
Chinese, and then Italian. I don't go for sushi and can certainly
live without fruit in my salads but I tend to try pretty much
anything that I come across. I love ice cream from Cold Stone and
cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.
The six things I could never do without
1. Laptop 2. P.A.D.I. scuba diving card 3. Cheaptickets.com (for
booking my vacations. I know its a shameless plug but they're
great) 4. My family 5. An emotional connection 6. Some sort of
business enterprise to put my energy toward (My motto is, when life
gives you lemons, make lemonade... and then sell it! :o)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The places that I've been, the places that I want to see, and how
I'm going to get there. I've been trying to come up with a place to
volunteer and have tried a couple of things but nothing felt quite
right; I'll have to think on that some more. Things I've done
right, things I've done wrong, and how to do them better next time.
As Socrates said, "A life without self-reflection is worthless."
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, watching a movie, working, walking on the
Plaza, or doing one of the many activities listed in my self
summary.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
During my mis-spent youth, I lived in a 60s VW Van in a field in
north Georgia for a summer. I'm not likely to give up everything
and move into a van again any time soon but at that point in my
life, it was a blast. We hung out and partied all day, went to the
lake to swim & play on the beach, and had all our friends who
lived in the area over to party at night.
You should message me if
You're intelligent, you enjoy life, you're a quality person, you
feel I'm wrong about something & have several clear, concise
points to argue your opinion, or you share any of the interests I
listed.
