My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Intro paragraphs are a tedious exercise best left to writers (which I’m not, by any stretch). I do better with lists, so here are a few things you might want to know about me:

~ I was a daydreamer (and a bit chubby) when I was a kid. I learned how to use humor as a sword, shield, and crutch from an early age.
~ I walk around the building my office is in at least three times a day to think, talk to myself, stare at the sky, and just breathe fresh air.
~ I wear jeans 95% of the time.
~ I have a career that I enjoy and I'll most likely spend the rest of my life trying to master certain aspects of it.
~ I can be sarcastic to a fault. That's a nice way of saying I’m a complete smart ass from time to time.
~ I over tip, I try not to pass judgment too quick, and I don't care for rude people.
~ I smile for stupid reasons. I will make a fool of myself if it gets a laugh.
~ I grew up just outside Kansas City (and still say "howdy" occasionally without realizing it). I try to make it back to the Midwest to see family at least once a year.
~ I like working with my hands and find that fixing things is therapeutic in a way. My house has been in a perpetual state of remodel for eight years (and “almost done” for at least three).
~ Kids don't seem to mind me. If I had to guess it's because I can make goofy faces and still like playing with toys.
~ Being healthy is a big deal. I try to eat well and go to CrossFit four times a week.
~ I enjoy cooking, but I’m terrible at it. If you could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it.
~ I've traveled some and wouldn’t mind doing a bit more. The two most incredible spots on the planet (that I know of) are the front gates of Duomo di Firenze in Florence and Green Sand Beach in Hawaii.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing code by day, fighting crime at night.
Trying to finish a workshop in my garage so I can start on a few projects.
Trying to lift a little heavier so I can get stronger.
Trying to eat better.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Arguing with myself (I always win), listening, and fixing things (sometimes better at breaking them).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sense of humor (I think). Maybe eyes?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Sushi, Thai, Chinese, Indian, some Mexican...

The Shawshank Redemption, Big Trouble in Little China, Breaking Bad, Homeland, Jaws, The Daily Show, Looper, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, Band of Brothers...this list could go on for some time.

Jaws is still the scariest flick I’ve ever seen.

Annie Lennox has the most gorgeous voice...evar.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Aside from the people I care about...in no particular order...

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things I'd like to build. Movies I'd like to see. Technology and its impact on society. Pretty ladies. :)

Either working late, at the gym, or out and about with close friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

If I saw you in a bar, I’d never talk to you. Bars are horrible places to meet people.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're warm, sincere, intelligent, can take care of yourself, and have an old soul. Having a creative outlet or something that you’re passionate about is also pretty important.
