I am intelligent, expressive, and considerate.

My Self-Summary

I recently moved back to Wichita after college. I don't drink but love to go out, and also love to stay in - a good balance of the two. I'm not religious and would not date a smoker. I really appreciate intelligent conversations and someone with whom I don't always agree. But I also love to be silly and funny and sometimes even a little crass. :)

What I’m doing with my life

I don't work for health reasons but I do some volunteering to keep me busy. I'm just enjoying catching up with old friends and making new ones.

I’m really good at

Cooking and eating. Chances are I can eat more than you. :) Being small, it really baffles some people.

The first things people usually notice about me

Hm, that I have red, or strawberry blonde, hair. Then maybe my eyes. And that I like to talk. :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Harold Ramis and the Coen brothers. Others on my favorites list include various (but not all) Will Ferrell movies, Across the Universe, Love and Sex, Boondock Saints, Swingers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stigmata, Finding Nemo, Running with Scissors (I liked the book, too). Obviously no one can list all of their favorites, but that should give a good idea. I am very eclectic in my tastes. I do not, however, really get into the Harry Potter, LOTR or Xmen type flicks - but I did like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.... go figure.

I love Augusten Burroughs and am currently working my way through his books. I also have about 5 other books going at the same time but for some reason I always choose Burroughs. I also read all the Dan Brown books. I'm looking forward to his next one to be released this fall. I bought the first Twilight book because everyone who has read it will not shut up about it. I still have mixed feelings about starting it. For some reason I think I like books about death, dying or being dead. I read The 5 People You Meet In Heaven and The Lovely Bones consecutively and now have Tuesdays with Morrie sitting on my desk.

Again, in sync with the eclectic nature of myself, my taste in music is all over the board. It really depends on my mood, but in the rotation this week has been Lady Gaga, Across the Universe Soundtrack/Beatles/Paul McCartney and some songs from O, Brother Where Art Thou. I also have been listening to bands like the Kooks and Kings of Leon. I like Regina Spektor, too. I've noticed that Wichita has a dozen country stations and they still play all the same songs as they played when I was in high school and liked country. So I have caught myself, more than once, flipping through and stopping on one of those stations.

I love all food. That's not an exaggeration. Depending on my mood I can be just as happy with shells and cheese and hotdogs as I can be with sushi. Two of my all time favorites in Wichita only are sausage/mushroom/light sauce Chicago crust pizza from Knolla's and Teriyaki Chicken Breast bowl from Japan Express. Another hard to find treat are the cheesecake chimichangas from Taco Bueno.

The six things I could never do without

Great food

Family/friends

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My health and future.

On a typical Friday night I am

I am not typical. Sometimes I'm partially nocturnal. Sometimes I do my socializing in the middle of the week and stay home on weekends. Movie at home, online, asleep, out with friends have been the last few Fridays.

You should message me if

you think of yourself as mature, fairly well educated and stable in a career path. Nothing turns me off faster than ignorance/stupidity... so use your spell/grammar check!
