My Self-Summary
Greetings potential matches. My name's Jason, and basically I'm a
nice guy looking for a nice girl (with a bit of a wild streak,
perhaps). My friends would (hopefully) describe me as intelligent,
funny, kind, easy-going, dependable, honest, open-minded, loyal,
and not excessively crazy. I'm pretty much looking for the same
qualities in a girlfriend or whatever. Also, it would be a bonus if
you love music and animals, since those are things that will always
be part of my life.
For fun I play guitar, listen to music, go to the park with my
dogs, see live bands, read, keep up with politics/current events
outside of the mainstream media, play chess, poker, pool, tennis,
etc.
**UPDATE** as of 07/23/09, I officially have a girlfriend, and she
kicks ass. I'll probably keep my profile on here for a while, but
only for friends and tests and stuff.
What I’m doing with my life
The things that take up the most time in my life right now are my
job at an evil, unconstitutional government agency; playing guitar
in a slightly less evil rock band; and taking care of my totally
not evil, but injured, dog, Willow, who had two leg surgeries a few
months ago.
I’m really good at
I don't know about really good, but I'm pretty decent at guitar,
chess, martial arts, pool, and crossword puzzles/trivia.
By the way, if anyone wants to play a game of chess, look me up at
chessworld.net . My user name on there is Bullitt1851.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I pretty much live for music, and like a little bit of everything,
but I'm a rocker at heart. Some of my favorite bands would be:
Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Type O Negative,
Pearl Jam, The Who, Pink Floyd, Heartless Bastards, Dead Kennedys,
The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Tesla, White Stripes, Neil Young, Warren
Zevon, Rush, Ramones, Minor Threat, Rage Against the Machine,
Nirvana, Husker Du, Black Crowes, The Doors, The Replacements, A
Perfect Circle, etc.
As far as books go, again I like a little bit of everything. I'm
trying to improve my chess game, so I'm reading a couple chess
books at the moment. I do enjoy a good novel along the lines of
Stephen King once in a while, but the last few years I've stuck
mostly to non-fiction, more specifically, political, historical,
and some conspiracy related stuff.
Some of my favorite movies: The Matrix, Dumb and Dumber, V for
Vendetta, Highlander, Joe Dirt, Star Wars, True Romance, Dawn of
the Dead (and other zombie movies), Devil's Rejects, Big Lebowski,
Underworld, Army of Darkness, Buffalo '66, Red Dawn, etc.
Most of my favorite tv shows are only around in reruns, like
X-Files and Angel, but I like a few current shows such as Lost,
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and
South Park. Other than that, if the tv is on it's usually on the
History Channel or National Geographic or something
quasi-educational like that. Oh, and I've always been interested in
the paranormal, so if I happen across them I'll watch shows like
Ghost Adventures and Paranormal State.
The six things I could never do without
I could probably get by with or without just about anything if I
had to, but it would sure suck to lose any of the following: my
dogs, guitars, music collection, freedom, and of course, family and
friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
all sorts of stuff I probably shouldn't waste time thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes hanging out with friends and/or going to a concert or
show of some sort. Sometimes just hanging out at home with my dogs.
Whatever.
You should message me if
you need tips on how to survive a zombie apocalypse.
