My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
-I'm on OKCupid because I would like to be in a long term relationship. Someday I'd like to have a kid that isn't a dog. You're not going to find me in a bar and I work for myself, so I'm a little hard to find in real life.

I'm a photographer and filmmaker from the south, recently bought an 1890 house in the Hudson Valley after 9 years in NYC, just adopted a puppy named Skillet, 5 siblings (4 adopted), centrist, INFJ, passport stamper, water hole finder, business starter.

-Important disclaimer. I lived in NYC for 9 years, but recently decided enough was enough and bought a big old house in the Hudson Valley. I have kept my location as NYC on OKCupid because although I have some cool new friends up here, they are all married. There just aren't many singles up here.

I've been influenced by living in various parts of the country. Born in TN, Atlanta for my childhood, Kentucky for college, 2 years in Southern California, 1 year in Hawaii, 4 years in Utah, 9 years in NYC, 4 months in the Hudson Valley.

-I want to be your wedding photographer when you marry your OkCupid match (if I marry you I want to elope to Italy with no cameras :)

-You can figure out a lot about what and who I love by stalking my Instagram.

-now that I've bought a house in the Hudson Valley, I'm working on building a little cabin in the Catskills. I look at every single day.

-Photography is all I've ever known. I started in the pre-Instagram age of darkrooms and film at the age of 14 and I've never done much else. My money comes from photographing very expensive weddings all over the world and sometimes getting a little jealous of the love I document

-Peekamoose swimming hole and Lake Awosting are my two favorite swimming spots. I'll take you anytime.

-I believe in working efficiently, choosing my friends wisely, and savoring my experiences so that I don't have to fill my calendar to feel fulfilled and accomplished.

-I'm interested in kind, feminine, ambitious, educated, self aware, curious, open-minded women. I am not interested in masculine, busyholic, sarcastic, dominant, loud controllers looking for an introvert to balance them. I'm introverted, but not shy or passive AT ALL. I have a whole lot of opinions and ambition. I'm looking for a partner that might help me grow in ways I haven't and vice versa. the main thing that introvert means for you is that I strongly prefer one on one time to one on 20 time.

quiet by susan cain is my current read

I go see a movie a week. Sometimes I drive up to the drive-in at Hyde Park, sometimes its Alamo theater, or my rooftop, but I'm a sucker for beautiful cinematography, documentaries, hitchcock, malick, kurosawa, and the occasional blockbuster.

from my latest playlist:
the chromatics, otis redding, waylon jennings, father john misty, M83, Phosphorescent, blood orange, jack white, so so glos, alt j, muddy waters, clem snide,

I love food and lists so much that I create custom google maps for my friends and family when they come to town.
