My self-summary
Open-minded, book owning, creative type. Likes wandering, day dreaming, scheming, grocery shopping . Yes, I said that, grocery shopping. It's the fun first step to cooking and baking...
What I’m doing with my life
Wow, deep question there. I am a couple years now living downtown, and loving it - I may not be in the thick of the city, but I'm A-OK with that. I enjoy being close enough to walk to stuff, but just far enough away not to be shaking my fist out the window and saying "damn kids!"

But really, I'm just doing the normal workaday life, while trying to find interesting things to occupy my down time with. I'm a big fan of the city, and all the crazy development going on. Bit of an armchair urban planner.

and of course, I'm here - looking for that someone special. I want that... "click" with someone.
I’m really good at
helping folks talk through their problems. Telling stories in bed. Pulling off this one stellar cookie recipe you won't be able to resist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Coupland is a favorite writer, though his more recent stuff tends to skew a bit too dark for my tastes. One of my favorite (non) animated movies is "The Wonder Boys". I'll listen to anything from classic motown to electronica to Joni Mitchell to Kanye. Last three concerts I've been to were Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Ben Folds Five. Oh, I love a good beef stew any time of the year.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order-

- water
- computer
- good set of pans
- my books/personal library
- sharp set of knives
- sketchbook
I spend a lot of time thinking about
sex, love, life, successful urban planning, integrative thinking and about what we're all thinking when checking out profiles here.
On a typical Friday night I am
lazing about, unwinding from a long hard week with a movie or some TV
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi guys
  • Ages 24–40
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
I'm a mixed bag and always down for a chat. I'm not sure I could give you a reason to message me - but I will say this - If i message you or even favorite you, I've spent more than a few minutes checking out your profile and questions.

That being said - I think I've finally figured out what I don't like about what online dating has become.

I think between the OkCupids, and Lavalifes and Grindr, Tindr, Blendrs etc. We've all gotten into this groove of look-judge-swipe, and to be honest, its become a bit too much for me. Everyone is taking the time to post up what looks like their "best lives", and while that's all well and good, I feel like I'm being sold a lifestyle, rather than getting an idea of the person across the fibre optic cables from me (ha. yes, as well as anyone could, I know:)

Again, don't get me wrong - I'm all for having fun, I just don't think that long term, I'm looking to be an accessory or a tourist in someone elses life. Does that make any sense? Ha, if it does - then write :)
