My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! My name is Jeremy and I recently moved back to California in Oct of 2014 after spending 5 years in the great city of Chicago! Born and raised in the Thousand Oaks/Agoura area. Used to live and work in West LA and the valley region. Just finished up grad school (PhD in Psychology). Currently living in Sherman Oaks and working in market research/consumer psychology in the burbs.

ESTJ (FYI - MBTI is nowhere near a great personality inventory but that's beside the point...)

I like to read fiction, listen to music (everything but country), podcasts (Serial is pretty cool), go to movies, and occasionally enjoy the theater (musicals and what not). Trying to get back into the gym and running. When its a bit warmer, love the beach. Looking for new places and things to do (now that I am back in town...if you have any suggestions, let me know).

Also, now that I am back home, I get the chance to reconnect with family too. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A bit of everything. I like to dabble in a few corners of psychology - clinical, organizational, and consumer. Might get back into teaching or practicing as a therapist but haven't decided yet.

Otherwise, I like traveling (domestic and international). I have seen almost 45 of the states. Still need to see more of Europe and Asia. Camping/hiking is cool (in small doses), my biggest issue is BUGS. UGH.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have a really strong sense of movies, and can quote some of my favorite one's right off the cuff. I can connect with most people pretty easily and can also be the life of the party :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The smile and my eyes. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books - psychology stuff of course, but I am a huge fan of Jules Verne, Steinbeck, Harry Potter, and Harper's To Kill a Mockingbird (cliche, possibly but its how I feel).

Movies: Sci-fi, action/adventure/romance, comedies. Horror is cool too, but I can be a bit of a baby (I have crushed hands before)....
80s classics: Goonies, Adventures in Babysitting, Labyrinth.

Cheesy and blockbuster movies are cool with me (even if the characters suck).

TV: Scandal, HTGAWM (new favorite), Homeland, Good Wife, Blacklist, Girls, Looking (I think next season will be better).

Food ranges for basically anything - just not tooooo spicy (moderate at best).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family
2. My friends
3. My computer
4. My iphone
5. Chocolate
6.Warm coats/tons of blankets on the bed
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A few things actually. How I am going to spend my day, areas for self-improvement, where I want to travel/see next, what's on tv tonight, and politics/news.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dinner with friends, staying in and watching a movie, going out to a bar/club (maybeeee), off to a party potentially...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
???Why not ask me questions instead? This feels weird. Next question...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you feel we have a high match or similar interests, its always cool to meet new people as friends.

Someone who can be assertive, spend time together, cuddle on the couch.

I am interested in developing something long term, so if the white picket fence scares you then probably not.

I don't bite...too hard. :)
