My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am 37 years old, and have lived in Boston for close to 7 years now. Moved here in January 2008 from Cincinnati, Ohio, mainly to escape suburbia. I have a pretty big family, and although it is tough being away from them, I haven't looked back since moving! I am not one to dwell on the past at all. Things happen and it is best to deal with them and move on. With that being said, my father passed away suddenly in the October 2011, so I have been really re-dedicating myself to meeting and surrounding myself with positive, quality people.

I absolutely love to travel, hanging out with my miniature schnauzer Maggie, playing softball, tennis, going to BC, Sox or Bruins games. I am also a novice runner, working up to my first 5K at a time and place TBD. Just looking to meet some fun, cool new people and see what happens.

I am smart, gregarious, and quirky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have worked in the insurance business for over 13 years now. I recently started a new job as a commercial insurance underwriter at a local company. Prior to that I was in insurance sales. I work hard, but my career in no way defines me. It is a means to be able to feed my travel addiction and do the things I enjoy. When I was in between jobs in 2010, I had a week and a half off so, on a whim, booked a trip to Ireland and went by myself. It was a blast! I tend to fly by the seat of my pants quite often, which drives my mother absolutely crazy!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, being sarcastic, drumming on my steering wheel, playing sports, quoting Seinfeld, being a grammar/spelling snob, Scrabble, Jeopardy/trivia and exploring Boston. I can also recite the lyrics verbatim to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." Not really sure how that happened, but oh well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My blue eyes, and I have been told that I have a nice smile. A lot of people also tell me that I look like I was a football player, since I am 6'2'', 240 lbs. Unfortunately I sucked at football, but I had the size for it! I have also been told that I dress nice, which I suppose is a good thing!

Movies: Dumb & Dumber, Tommy Boy, Field of Dreams, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Naked Gun, Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty

Music: I listen to just about every type of music out there. Nothing like hearing that perfect song in the car on the way home after a stressful day at work. Favorites include Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Led Zep, Live, 80s one hit wonders and hair bands, and soooo many more

Food: LOVE Italian, Mexican and Thai
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My dog, Maggie
2. Music
3. My family
4. My iphone (sad, I know)
5. My car (not sure how people in Boston rely on public transportation for everything!)
6. Seinfeld and Family Guy reruns
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
When and where my next trip will be, and constantly trying to think of ways to better myself
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends at a local bar, or seeing a movie, or maybe just staying in and recovering from a long work week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve. I have been told I am a big teddy bear. I also love to sing in the car, and I must say it sounds quite fabulous.
