I've been in Asheville (originally from Northern climes) for four years now and have carved out a nice little life for myself and I'd love to find a partner to share that with.
It's difficult to find someone you gel with based on a profile like this, but I've been thinking a lot lately about the malleability of people and how people attract people and then create shared histories.
That all said, I like to laugh. It would be nice to meet someone who understands what I mean when I say that EVERYTHING is funny. I think laughing together is the most romantic a couple can be.
I like a woman in tune with her sexuality to the point that she doesn't have to wear it on her sleeve. Pretense in general is a HUGE turn-off. If you have to tell me how whacky you are, I'm going to give you that look. Oh, you know the one... Well, you will if/when you see it.
I like people who are honest about themselves with themselves and everybody else. Yes, two people in a relationship are going to change each other to some degree, but I stand up for what I stand for and appreciate others who do the same. A common phrase of yours should be "I don't care what people think, I..." See what I'm sayin'?
You should be willing to argue (I actually like arguing). "I don't want to talk about it," drives me crazy. I can be respectful of anyone's feelings if they can be respectful of my thinkings. :) I'm not talking about fighting, but I love passionate discussion.
I'm smart. Like, smart smart. I don't wear it as a badge, but some have found this intimidating in the past, so I'm just letting you know.
TiVo better than TV; Volleyball and softball (playing); baseball (watching); cinephile, but in trumps out; I like a good restaurant, but I'm a utilitarian eater; a quiet bar or coffee shop beats a raucous one; converstaion is my fave hobby.
OK. I'm dropping it here. Let's just say that I am that odd person who doesn't mind dating, so if you see ANYTHING here you like, we can do the 5-minute coffee thing and then you can feign other plans if it's just not happening. But one never knows, does one?
