What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have had a diverse and interesting career path--studied art, was in legal recruiting, entertainment, and real estate. I retired for a couple of years and am beginning a new career. I just became a licensed Master Esthetician and am starting my own practice. I sing classical music for fun and love to dance.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am an INFP. I also have a green thumb and love to grow orchids.

Movies:
I enjoy well-crafted movies that depict the depth of human nature. These movies are often foreign such as Departures, Incendies, Babette's Feast, The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, or Lovers of the Arctic Circle. And of course, there are the American greats like Sophie's Choice, The Pianist, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, etc. Sweeping cinematography like the English Patient or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon captures my imagination too. And I love great title songs like John Williams' theme from Schindler's List or Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe from The Mission. Movies that keep me wondering like Inception and Sixth Sense hold my attention.

Music:
I love most all types of music and have a vast CD collection. Classical, World, and Jazz/Blues are the three genres I listen to most often. It's probably easier for me to say what I don't care for: music that is atonal--doesn't matter if it's Schoenberg or Metal.

Books:
I read daily--mostly things of a spiritual nature. Love Rumi. I also enjoy great writers like Anne Lamott, Hemingway, Isabel Allende, and Walt Whitman to name a few. I usually have three or four books going at the same time to satisfy whatever mood I am in. Currently reading "A Journey to Oneness" by Rasha, re-reading Patanjali's "Yoga Sutras", "Bonk" by Mary Roach, and "Fall of Giants" by Ken Follett.

I support the arts and am a patron of the Seattle Art Museum and have season tickets to the Seattle Opera.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Existence, Knowledge, Bliss Absolute (Satchitananda)
2. Music (the language of my soul)
3. Beauty in all forms of creation
4. A profound connection to "all that is"
5. Joy
6. Constantly learning and experiencing new things
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why do we exist? What is my role in this holographic tapestry called life? The inter-connectedness of all things...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooking dinner at home with friends. Hearing live music: anything from Bollywood to Bach. Dancing. Reading a book by the fire. Singing Kirtan... There is no "typical" Friday evening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Life is a mystery. The more I understand it, the more mysterious it becomes. The more I know, the less I feel that I know. The more I become aware of the depth, the infinite depth, the more it becomes almost impossible to say anything about it. Perhaps this makes me a bit of a mystic...
