My self-summary
"Humor is mankind's greatest blessing" -Samuel Clemens
Probably the most succinct way to express the best philosophy I've ever heard, but that's more of a second beer topic.

I'm new to Southern Oregon and am looking forward to exploring my new state. I moved here sight unseen for a promotion and the opportunity to learn how to run a hospital, which is a little similar to what I did in Afghanistan, but with civilians and well a hospital instead of aid stations. Enough about work, I'll be focusing a lot of energy there while I learn my job. But you might've figured out I'm kind of a workaholic.

I do like to take time an relax and leave my work at work. I enjoy nature and hikes, I'm looking forward to camping again for fun. I enjoy art, one of my best experiences was getting to see actual Van Gogh's at his museum in Amsterdam. I actually went there twice to see them and would've gone a third time if there had been time. I do try and enjoy life and the beauty in everything whether it's nature, art, or a well designed Excel spreadsheet. I would like to find someone who's the same.

I love to travel, I want to visit more countries and explore the coast and forests of my new home. I've been 8 countries if you count the US, but I'm not sure I can count Ireland since we never left the airport. I've never been to Asia, S. America, or Australia so those are on my list of places to visit. I think the only type of travel I might not enjoy is a cruise, but I'll reserve judgement till I try it.
What I’m doing with my life
Learning how to run a hospital, getting settled into Oregon, exploring
I’m really good at
Cooking and manual labor, it's nice to be able to do work once in a while that doesn't involve me sitting behind a computer or going through files.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm ginger
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
If I tell you know I'm going to have to be more creative with my initial small talk
The six things I could never do without
My dog Odin
Live Music
Good Beer
And brand new socks are nice too
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to use my free time, which project I'm going to work on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either staying, preparing to explore the wilderness around Roseburg, or getting ready to head North to enjoy some civilization
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really like my hybrid mountain bike, but I barely ride it. I keep saying I'm going to bike more...
